Brighter Days had an amazing time at Old Donation School alongside Beach Girls Rock, speaking with girls about the power of goal setting and turning the dreams they have for themselves into REALITY! 👏🏽We loved encouraging them to think beyond where they are now, create intentional goals, and recognize that their dreams are possible with confidence and action ☀️

We’re especially grateful for the opportunity to spend time with Beach Girls Rock founder Dr. Caldwell and continue building alongside our amazing partners at the Urban League.

📚🎒 Back to School with Brighter Days! ☀️

This weekend, we had the opportunity to serve the Hampton Roads community through a back-to-school backpack and school supply giveaway in partnership with @ulhrva, @thebobbyblazefoundation, & @parismarley

Together, we distributed approximately 70 backpacks filled with notebooks, markers, crayons, colored pencils, and more, along with 25 additional school supply bags to parents in the community preparing for the new school year 📚

A special thank you to our partners Bobby Blaze, founder of the Bobby Blaze Foundation, and Paris Marley for hosting the event and helping connect us with the Aberdeen Gardens community. We’re also grateful to our partners at the Urban League of Hampton Roads for providing supplies in partnership with @walmart and helping make opportunities like this possible more often.

We’re proud to start the year by showing up for our community and making sure our youth have what they need to step into the school year with confidence.

Here’s to a great start to the year! ☀️📚 Stay tuned for more events and community initiatives from Brighter Days!

We had the chance to bring IB students from High Schools in Suffolk to tour Hampton University, giving them a real look at college life, opportunities, and what their future can hold. From walking the campus to hearing firsthand experiences, it was all about making higher education feel personal and exciting!☀️

Brighter Days has officially wrapped up Santa’s Helping Hands in New York ☀️🌇

Throughout the four locations, we were able to gather shoes, toiletries, clothing, blankets, toys, and books. Over 300 donated items in total! These items were distributed to several shelters, including HELP New Leaf Homeless Shelter.

So grateful to everyone who contributed to making days brighter and a special thank you to The Campaign Against Hunger, @projectechony and @purposefullypretty_inc 🧡. An incredibly successful event, and just the start of what Brighter Days has planned. Stay tuned!

Over Spring Break our WISE member, Makayla, had the opportunity to take part in New York Cares’ annual coat drive, where she specifically worked on the mending and repairs initiative. Makayla is a great representation of how TheWISEOrg CE puts service first!
