We made a thing. And then that thing went to a film festival! 🎬🍿

A wonderful night at the 31st Canberra Short Film Festival, watching Thoughtless on the big screen alongside some incredibly talented local filmmakers.

There’s something pretty special about seeing a project go from scripts, cameras and organised chaos to an actual cinema screen, with an actual audience watching it.

And even better getting to share the moment with some of the lovely humans who helped bring it to life. ❤️

Huge congratulations to Ruth Pieloor and everyone involved in Thoughtless.

“Chaika Theatre’s rendition is gripping, intelligent and deeply affecting… Under Tony Knight’s direction, the tension between social expectations and the swell of emotional undercurrent is always present… [Jenna] Roberts has a breathtaking ability to convey anguish, confusion, intelligence and resilience, with a searingly dry humour, often while speaking words that contradict what her countenance conveys… Chaika Theatre’s THE DEEP BLUE SEA brims with humanity. The powerful performances and extraordinary writing will leave you thinking for a long time afterwards.”

Meet the storytellers bringing INTO THE WOODS to life as the grand finale to our May 2026 fundraising campaign.

We are so lucky to have these 16 experienced local performers working intensively during a deliberately short rehearsal period to create the memorable characters and heartfelt moments of INTO THE WOODS.

Through simple and evocative staging, our intimate theatre will become the woods, our storytellers will take their scripts to the stage, and our audiences will feel part of the story as the magic of complex music, remarkable vocals and familiar stories combine for three very special performances only.

Tickets are selling fast with all ticket sales contributing to ACT Hub’s current fundraising goals.

Grab your friends and join us in the woods!

I have been working on this song for awhile now with the wonderful @taradanxietyqueen and was also lucky enough to have a masterclass organised by @musictheatreprojects with the incredible musical theatre superstar @k.gare_ . It is such an emotional song and has all the feelz and I thought it was time to share a bit of my singing - it's a bit scary putting this out here - hope you like xo
