#NewNoise: In this week’s instalment of ‘Rap of the Week’, we have a selection of new releases from some of MENA’s top rappers, such as Draganov, TIF, Didine Canon 16 and Abyusif.

Sudanese rapper Soulja makes a comeback with a new album, ‘0 View’s, while Algerian rapper TIF and Moroccan rapper Draganov link up on an ‘UFUL’, a three-track EP that fuses warm organic instrumentation with sleek contemporary melodic rap, trading percussive bars over sun-drenched aesthetics.

Algerian rap heavyweight Didine Canon 16 returns with another punchy cut, ‘Hotel Room’, while Egyptian powerhouse Abyusif surprise-drops ‘Chroma’, a dark cerebral track that leans into meta-commentary on the regional rap scene, produced by long-time collaborator Lil Baba.

The playlist also includes R3 with ‘Ba7’, Ilham with ‘YES$$’, and KAZ with ‘Mafi Skoot’.

الخزانة بعمرها ما كانت بس ستوديو.
الخزانة فكرة بنيناها على إيمان إنه الموسيقى بتشبّك اللي العالم بيحاول يفرّقه، وإنه الفنانين من كلّ مكان عندهم إشي يقولوه وحدا محتاج يسمعه.
لقرابة ثلاث سنوات، وإحنا صامتين. العالم تغيّر بطرق ما هزّت هذا الإيمان، بس زعزعت قدرتنا على إنه نتمسك بالموسيقى بدون ما نحس بثقل كل اللي عم يصير حوالينا.
لسا شايلين هالثقل. بس اكتشفنا إنه الغياب ما بيخففه.
