Just a rainy Sunday morning before the sun comes up. Another airport. Another opportunity to put Uniweld back in the conversation.

The sleeping giant is waking up.

Time to make some noise.

🚨 APPRENTICES NEED GOOD HOMES 🚨

Please… don’t let another apprentice go another day without being cared for.

Adopting an apprentice is the easy part.

Keeping your company legit while they’re employed? That’s where we come in.

The last thing anybody needs is another battery they forgot to charge.

That’s why I LOVE this setup.

UBFT battery flaring tool.
MEVP6SB 6 CFM MaxEvac.

Both work with the battery platforms most of us already have: Makita. DeWalt. Milwaukee.

No new battery system to buy into.
No extra charger taking up space.
Just grab the battery you already use and go to work.

Air acetylene guys love the simplicity.
One bottle, grab it and go.

Oxy-acetylene guys aren’t giving up the extra heat and control for anything.

So let’s hear it…

What’s actually on your truck right now?
Air acetylene or oxy-acetylene?

I’m all for doing things the old-school way… until something makes the old way look like a pain in the ass.

UBFT. Clamp it, hit the button, move on.

Still hand flaring or have you made the switch?

Random airport thought with Brad…

We talk a lot about flowing nitrogen while brazing, but how many guys actually know what they’re flowing?

Not pressure.

Flow.

When brazing, we’re only talking about 3–5 SCFH.

That’s why I like being able to actually see the ball moving instead of just assuming everything is right.

Simple stuff, but it matters.

How are you setting your nitrogen flow in the field?

This is just a simulation of one scenario when you have to replace a compressor or open up a system to do a leak repair or compressor change out, utilizing TWO @navac_inc NVR3 “TriPort core tools one one system!🫡

No more purging or removing hoses, risking the chance of getting moisture or noncondensibles into the system when performing a compressor change out or a leak repair!😲

I’m looking forward to seeing how creative you guys are when using one or two of these core tools!🫵😃

Vacuum pumps are simple.

The mistakes usually happen in the setup. A vacuum pump is there to remove air, moisture, and non-condensables from a sealed system. But too many techs still treat vacuum like a timer.

Hook it up.
Let it run.
Call it good.
That is not a proper evacuation…

Remove the cores.
Use the right hoses.
Keep the oil clean.
Check for leaks.
Read the vacuum at the system with a micron gauge.

CFM matters, but setup matters more. You can have a great pump and still pull a bad vacuum if you choke it down with small hoses, dirty oil, valve cores, or bad habits.

The basics still win.

Anybody can hook up gauges.

Not everybody knows what they’re looking at. A pressure reading by itself can send you the wrong direction fast. Before you start chasing charge, you better know the conditions around the system.

Indoor conditions.
Outdoor ambient.
Airflow.
Line temps.
Superheat.
Subcooling.

Because gauges are only part of the story. They don’t diagnose the system. The tech does.

Sometimes you have to go back to the basics before the gauges start making sense.
