Another absolutely incredible encounter and experience, although sad, to have been able to view this creature so closely immediately after death was amazing!

Kayaking with a freaking Muskie!

That is truly all I have to say. This moment was absolutely incredible to experience. First from my kayak, to then walk along shore with this gorgeous, elusive creature!

The past six days have been incredibly special for our team.

Between Kenora Bass International, the Musk-kosiminiziibing Powwow, and several installations happening throughout the week, we were reminded once again why we love what we do.

Working with WOLFE is about more than creating a remarkable event or completing a meticulous installation. It’s about building relationships, earning trust, and being the people you can count on when you need us most.

What we do is important. But how we do it is what sets us apart.

When you need us — we show up.
When our community needs us — we show up.
When our families need us — we show up.
When our friends need us — we show up.

We’re incredibly grateful for every opportunity to serve our community, support the people around us, and be part of the moments that matter most.

This is WOLFE. We show up.

KBI ’26 🎣

First and foremost, a huge thank you to all the @kbi_fishing volunteers who make this event possible year after year. Your tireless efforts do not go unnoticed. It’s hands down my favourite event of the year and something I look forward to every summer.

This year was a grind from start to finish. The bite was a struggle for us all week, and we never managed to get those couple of big bites that would’ve pushed us toward our goal of a tent ride. But we superseded our weight every day, kept grinding, and battled our way to a 16th place finish.

We caught fish from just about every corner of Lake of the Woods, and somehow the ol’ tinner managed to stay in one piece through the relentless winds we faced all week. We bounced the Lund off more rocks than I’d like to admit, blew transducers clean off the boat, and probably spent as much time airborne as we did actually in the water. It truly is an ocean out there, and LOTW has a funny way of reminding you just how big it is.

Huge thanks to my partner Logan for putting up with me for 10 straight days. A lot of miles, a lot of gas, and plenty of laughs along the way. There are few things funnier than looking over and seeing your partner getting absolutely waterboarded by the Lund in gale force winds in the middle of LOTW.

And most importantly, thank you to my wife Jenny for holding down the home front and keeping everything rolling while I disappear for two weeks to chase little brown fish around. I couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

Congrats to @jamiebrucefishing and @bryangustafson on the win, to all those who placed, and a special shoutout to the Lentzy boys on the LOTW mega bag. @ryan_lentz17 @dawson_lentz

Another KBI is in the books and I’m already looking forward to ’27.

A massive thank you to the team at KBI for letting us host the popcorn and pop stand at tonight’s free movie night! 🍿🥤

We had a fantastic evening serving everyone, and we’re so grateful for the support. All proceeds from the stand go directly to Triple P.L.A.Y., helping us make a positive impact right here in our community.

Thank you to @kbi_fishing for the opportunity, and to everyone who stopped by to grab a snack and support the cause!

Missing my 1st @kbi_fishing in 4 years.
As a volunteer for KBI working on the dock I always look forward to chatting with the volunteers & anglers. I enjoy taking pics for the teams on the boats.
Also miss the late night camp chats about fish that were caught or missed and watching friends prep for the next day.
Good luck ro everyone participating this year. I will be watching the live stream on Thursday.
Next year, I hope to be back, better health, clear mind and who knows maybe from the boat side instead of the dock side!

Pop some corn and grab a stool. Congratulations to @MoteiDemersFishing and @IanWaterer for a domineering performance at the Canadian Bass Championship on Rainy Lake this week. That is 1st/1st/1st/2nd/1st in the last 5 years there for these guys. They also won big bass, and broke the all-time 3-day weight record for this 120-boat international event. There’s been many memorable streaks by great anglers up here, but this supersedes anything in my lifetime. They’ve also placed 2nd/1st/1st/2nd at the last 4 Kenora Walleye Opens, and had a 1st, 2nd, and 4th Kenora Bass International placing during this wild run. 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵

Hey Kenora!!

The Kids KBI is back for the 2026 season and registration opens April 1st!

The kids tournament will take place on Thursday August 6th, Friday August 7th and Saturday August 8th. Fishing will start at 10AM each day on the harbourfront docks.
As always, kids have the option to fish on Thursday, Friday OR Saturday. Kids may only be registered for ONE tournament day to allow everyone who chooses the opportunity to fish.

Kids able to participate in the KBI must be between the ages of 4-13 years old.
Each angler needs an adult with them on the dock at all times, and a life jacket must always be worn. Be sure to bring your own rod and reel, and your own tackle! Remember, the only live bait that can be used is worms!

Everyone goes home with a loot bag and a T-shirt! Plus if any of our kid anglers catches a fish (hopefully a bass) they will get to choose something from our awesome prize table.
Stick around for music, games and a charity BBQ afterward, and enjoy the day with friends and family!

On April 1st head on over to https://
kbifishing.profishingtournaments.com and register your kiddos!

Kenora Bass International 2025

The first two days we were having trouble getting those bigger bites that we found during prefish. The third day we were able find a few grown ones that bumped us up to just shy of being in the money.

Had a blast as usual so thank you to all the volunteers that made it possible. We’ll be back next year!
