How has it already been over a month?! ✨

Back in August, Weatherhouse Institute Cohort 5 spent five days diving into the filmmaking process learning from incredible industry professionals, developing their creative voices, and understanding the technical and creative elements that bring a film to life.

Special shout out to our creative instructors: Andie Redwine @andieredwine (sadly not pictured), LaKesha Lorene @thereallakeshalorene, Joe Frank @joefrankdp, Angela Northington @angnorthington, and Kurtis Bowersock @kbowersock.

Cohort #5 is officially in pre-production for their film, Closing Time, which will premiere next spring! We’re so proud of the creativity and dedication this group has already shown & can’t wait to see what happens when Closing Time finally hits the screen.

It’s that time of year again! 🎬 Applications are now open for the 5th cohort of Weatherhouse Institute!

If you’re 16–24 years old and interested in filmmaking, this is your chance to learn, create, and connect with Indiana’s creative community. Whether you’re just getting started or already building your skills, our program is designed for beginner to intermediate filmmakers looking for hands-on experience and mentorship.

Hear directly from last year’s cohort (our special version of WHI called VisionHouse) about what they learned and how the experience impacted them. Then, check out their final film, The Cabin, now streaming on our YouTube channel.

Stay tuned! We’ll be announcing this year’s teaching artists soon. We can’t wait to see what this next cohort creates. 🎥✨

IYFF Year 3! This year, I stepped into staff as Production Manager Lead for the Indiana Youth Film Festival 🎬

I’m so proud to have been part of bringing this festival to life for Indiana’s young filmmakers. And major love to Deonna for everything she poured into making this happen. Her vision and heart for this community is unmatched. I’m grateful to be part of something that gives youth a real platform to tell their stories.

I can’t wait for next year! 🤍
