Finally posting some of the early mood cuts I created for ‘As One’. The whole process started as an experiment playing with tone, rhythm and emotion to see where the film wanted to go. Looking back, it taught me a lot about trusting intuition, but also entrusting the team with what they all have to offer. Grateful for the team for their countless hours and effort. Al-Balad 🏚 البلد Al-Balad, otherwise known as Historical Old Jeddah, downtown Jeddah and the Gate to Makkah, is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. 🇺🇳 Locals and non-locals enjoy walking down the old alleys and admiring the remnants of old Hejaz, making it a favorite tourist attraction in the city. 🚶🚶🏻‍♀️ Old Jeddah includes a number of monuments and heritage buildings such as the Old Jeddah wall and its historical open squares such as Al-Mazloom, Al-Sham, Al-Yemen and Al-Bahr Haras. 🏯 Nowadays, Al-Balad gets pack-jammed during Ramadan 🌙 due to its wondrous stalls and cultural festivals that brim with nostalgic themes and a yearning to the past. 🎭 تعتبر منطقة البلد، والمعروفة أيضًا باسم جدة التاريخية، وسط مدينة جدة وبوابة لمكة، وقد تم إدراجها كموقع تراث عالمي لليونسكو. 🇺🇳 يستمتع السكان والزوار بالسير في الأزقة القديمة والاستمتاع بآثار الحجاز القديمة، مما يجعلها منطقة جذب سياحي مفضلة في المدينة. 🚶🚶🏻‍♀️ تضم جدة القديمة عددًا من الآثار والمباني التراثية مثل سور جدة القديمة وحاراتها التاريخية المفتوحة مثل حارة المظلوم وحارة الشام وحارة اليمن وحارة البحر. 🏯 وفي وقتنا الحاضر، تشهد البلد ازدحاماً كبيراً خلال شهر رمضان 🌙 بسبب الأكشاك الرائعة والمهرجانات الثقافية التي تملئها الحنين والتوق إلى الماضي. 🎭 📸: @kbt_998
