Well, I’m pretty late to posting these as the baby is now earth side, but pregnancy is such a beautiful thing so it’s better late than never. Excited to share this absolutely beautiful mama in such a beautiful stage of her life. (Follow her for all things mom and parenting and life with a newborn!) @kc.undefined

That moment when a pregnant mama gets to lay on her stomach again 🙌🏾

Yes—it’s possible, and it’s one of the most loved parts of their adjustment.

We use specially designed pregnancy pillows that safely support baby while taking pressure off mom’s belly. These aren’t your average pillows—they’re shaped to create space where it’s needed most, so mama can fully relax.

As baby grows, we adjust too—sometimes stacking pillows to keep things comfortable, supported, and safe every step of the way 🫶🏾🤗

Tell me I’m lying, cause you know I’m not. Those fundal massages about took me out. And I’ve been told that the more you have the worse they get.

Pregnancy is only a brief period (although it doesn’t seem like it), this is your sign to go all out, be extra, TAKE THOSE PICTURES. Because I promise you’ll want to look back one day.

We should do TVA contractions during pregnancy because they provide support, stability, and pressure control when done correctly.

Here’s why they matter 👇

1. The TVA is your body’s natural support system
The transverse abdominis acts like a corset around your torso.
During pregnancy, gentle TVA activation:
• supports the growing uterus
• helps manage the increased load on your spine
• improves posture as your center of gravity shifts
This can reduce common pregnancy aches like low back and pelvic pain.
2. TVA works with the pelvic floor (not against it)
When activated gently and with the breath, the TVA:
• assists pelvic floor support
• helps distribute pressure upward and outward rather than down
• reduces symptoms like heaviness or leaking

This coordination is key for:
• daily movements (standing, lifting, rolling in bed)
• exercise
• preparing for birth and recovery
3. Helps manage intra-abdominal pressure
Pregnancy already increases pressure inside the abdomen.

Training the TVA:
• teaches your body how to respond to pressure, not brace against it
• supports movements like coughing, laughing, lifting, and exercise
• protects the abdominal wall and pelvic floor

This is especially important for diastasis recti management.
4. Prepares your core for labor and postpartum recovery
A responsive (not rigid) TVA:
• supports pushing mechanics during labor
• improves core awareness postpartum
• makes it easier to reconnect to your core after birth

Think of it as training coordination now, not strength for aesthetics.
5. Improves functional strength, not “flat abs”
TVA activation in pregnancy is about:
• movement efficiency
• stamina
• injury prevention
• confidence in your body

Not about pulling the belly in.
