THIS ONE HITS DIFFERENT. Yesterday, we received news about my daughter Lilli that I’ll never take for granted. Born at just 29 weeks with single-ventricle physiology, dextrocardia, and heterotaxy syndrome, Lilli has faced open-heart surgeries, hospital stays, and battles most kids will never understand. But yesterday, we got to celebrate a HUGE victory. 🙏 In 2024, her lung function was around 30% of what was expected for a child her age. Yesterday, after breathing tests with her pulmonologist, Dr. Escobar, we learned she’s now around 80% of the expected level for her age! ALL GLORY TO GOD. ❤️ But something happened at that appointment that really got me thinking. Her doctor asked, “What have you been doing differently since 2024?” That’s around the time Lilli started training Jiu-Jitsu. 🥋 He had no idea she was training. He asked if she had been playing soccer, basketball, or another sport. When I told him Jiu-Jitsu, I knew her story was worth sharing. I understand why parents of medically complex children might hesitate to let their kids participate in contact sports. Every child is different, and medical guidance matters. But Lilli has shown us that she is so much more than her medical history. Jiu-Jitsu has given her challenges, confidence, a team, and another opportunity to prove to herself what she can accomplish. We can’t say Jiu-Jitsu caused her improvement, but we can celebrate how far she’s come and keep giving her opportunities to grow safely. This is what RESCUE READY is about. FAITH. FITNESS. BROTHERHOOD. SERVICE. Building stronger people. Overcoming obstacles. Showing up even when life gets hard. Lilli, you amaze me every single day. Dad is proud of you beyond words. ❤️ Never underestimate what your child can accomplish. Their diagnosis is part of their story, but it doesn’t have to define their entire story. Keep fighting, Lilli. Keep showing up. Keep proving that you belong on those mats. ❤️ #RescueReadyProject #JiuJitsu #SpecialNeedsStrong #MedicalWarrior

🇺🇸 WE CLIMBED FOR THE FALLEN. WE ROLLED FOR THE LIVING. 🥋 Today wasn’t just an event. It was a reminder. 25 years later, we still remember. We still honor. We still carry the names of those who never came home. Every step up those stairs was for the 2,977 lives lost on 9/11 and for the families and first responders who have carried that loss ever since. Then we rolled. Because Rescue Ready isn’t just about getting first responders physically strong. It’s about getting stronger mentally, physically, and emotionally. That’s why combat sports are such a huge part of this mission. Jiu-jitsu teaches us how to stay calm under pressure, keep fighting when things get hard, and never face the struggle alone. And I’m incredibly grateful for the backing of my Wolf Pack at Lone Wolf MMA and 10th Planet Kansas City. 🐺🥋 Coach Jeremy, James “Funky Cold” Regina, Captain Ron, and everyone who came out and showed up — you represented. You didn’t just come to roll. You stood behind the mission. You stood with first responders. You stood for the fallen. Today we raised money for We Defy Foundation and our local wrestling club, but what we built today was bigger than money. We built brotherhood. To everyone who climbed, rolled, donated, sponsored, volunteered, shared, encouraged, and showed up… THANK YOU. This is what Rescue Ready is about: 🔥 FAITH 💪 FITNESS 🐺 BROTHERHOOD 🇺🇸 SERVICE We remember the fallen. We fight for the living. We keep showing up.

SPECIAL SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT — KCBC 913 🇺🇸 I want to take a moment to give a very special thank-you to KCBC 913 and Michael for standing behind the Climb for the Fallen • Roll for the Living. Michael has been an incredible person to have in my corner throughout this entire journey. His support has gone far beyond simply sponsoring an event. Michael has been that guy. Brother, thank you. Thank you for believing in what we’re doing. Thank you for your sponsorship. Thank you for your friendship. And thank you for the wisdom and Christian guidance you’ve shared with me along the way. I’m genuinely grateful to have you in my corner. SINAI BEACH — 2014 REUNION SHOW Sinai Beach will always hold a special place in our hearts. These guys took OBLIGE under their wing when we were young, put us on great shows, gave us exposure, and eventually took us out on our first real U.S. tour with Sinai Beach, Nodes of Ranvier and August Burns Red. We got to share a lot of stages and make a lot of memories with these dudes over the years, so getting the opportunity to share the stage with them one last time at the 2014 reunion show was something special. CJ, Sean, Mike E., @kcbc913 and @mr.llambert — these guys were like brothers to OBLIGE. And now, all these years later, things have somehow come full circle. Logan is now part of OBLIGE. It’s a trip looking back at where all of this started, the friendships that came from it, and everything that happened along the way. Great memories. Great times. And now we’re looking forward to making some new ones with the heavy new OBLIGE material we’re currently writing. Much love and respect to Sinai Beach. Always. 🤘 OBLIGE • DEATH GROOVE • EST. Sometimes, the most overlooked truth can change everything: Everyone is rooting for you. What if you knew that, deeply felt, and let it fuel your journey? In this quick yet powerful episode, host Michael Risinger uncovers the surprising, often hidden support system that surrounds us (whether we notice it or not) and how embracing this mindset can ignite your confidence, resilience, and success. From a heartfelt story of overcoming layoffs and rock-bottom moments to a random shoutout at a local jiu jitsu tournament, Michael reveals why we need to stop focusing on who isn’t cheering and start appreciating those who truly uplift us. You’ll discover how recognizing your quiet supporters can energize your pursuits, inspire your grit, and remind you that your community’s encouragement is often stronger than you think. He breaks down the remarkable impact of simple recognition: hearing that someone is proud of your progress, or realizing you're being cheered on when least expected. Michael shares personal lessons, the importance of celebrating small wins, and why every creator, entrepreneur, or dreamer should reframe how they see support. If you’ve ever felt alone in your hustle, this episode is your reminder that you’re not, and your biggest fans might be closer than you think.
