A month in the life of an art director, production designer & stylist. 🎨 @kcidydesign

September / October has been a WILD ride. No days off, countless U-Hauls, plastering a scenic, endless prop runs, late-night builds, and a whole lot of creative chaos.

Somewhere in the madness, my incredible little team and I had the honor of working with Crocs, Adidas, The North Face, AAA, Feeding America, Clorox, Noodles & Co., and local fave Denver Modern - all while pulling off the wedding of a lifetime for F + E.

Most of the magic is still under wraps, so for now, here’s a little glimpse into the not-always-glamorous side of making pretty things happen.

Feeling equal parts exhausted, grateful, and wildly proud of the humans I get to create alongside.

36 assets. Two production days.

Ace Handyman Services came to us to launch a YouTube channel, but we didn't want to build a production that only gave them YouTube videos.

We planned the shoot around 12 long-form videos, 12 vertical shorts, and 12 two-minute Facebook cutdowns — each actually built for the platform where it would live.

For brands investing in production, getting more content doesn't have to mean filming more days. A lot of it comes down to designing the right system before you get to set.

Aspen Wedding at The Sundeck at The Little Nell, featured in Rocky Mountain Bride!

Some weddings deserve a details-only post, and this Aspen, Colorado celebration at The Little Nell is one of them! A mountaintop ceremony at The Sundeck at the top of Aspen Mountain, followed by a reception at Pine Creek Cookhouse, and every single detail in between was designed within an inch of its life, in the best way.

The fresh fruit deserves its own mention. Grapefruits, peaches and pears worked into every place setting, tucked between the florals. Add in chamomile and cosmos wildflower centerpieces, indigo batik napkins against gingham, a rainbow envelope seating chart telling guests to find your seat, and long mountaintop tables looking straight out at the Elk Mountains, and Rocky Mountain Bride agreed this one deserved a feature!

Being an Aspen wedding photographer means documenting celebrations at some of the most iconic Colorado wedding venues, and The Little Nell might be the crown jewel. If you’re planning an Aspen wedding, or dreaming about a Little Nell wedding specifically, I would love to hear from you 🤍

there’s something magical about a reception where everyone can see each other. ✨

tucked inside a santa fe courtyard, this U-shaped dinner created the kind of evening we always hope for: personal, deeply connected with no rush. every detail chosen with intention, right down to the handmade shot glasses waiting at each place setting.

That “oh my gosh these are your wedding invitations?!” 😱😍 kind of feeling.

These invitations were specifically designed as a secondary invitation to the wedding after party and were only sent to a portion of the guests. And party they did.
