Mimi, we wouldn’t be here without you. 10 kids, 18 grandkids, 29 great grandkids. 92 years on this earth and you did more than most ever could. Love you, we’ll carry on and keep calling each other and making the effort, just like you would have wanted. An eagle flew over us while we listened to the recording of you telling your life story. What else could a diva like you want. ✨

This week would have marked my 14th year @westsixth 💚 If you didn’t know or catch the hints, exactly one month ago was my last day of a career that shaped my passions, gave me community, and carried me through many chapters of life.

Of all of my reflecting, I continue to come back to the beautiful and cosmic alignment that tipped a bunch of people (SEE PHOTOZ) into my orbit 14 years ago that believe in me and love every part of who I am.

West Sixth was the conduit, the undercurrent, the magnet. I’m incredibly proud of the pieces of that place with my fingerprints on it, the folks I got to make magic alongside of, and the forever memories coated in sweat, tears, paint and West Sixth IPA. What’s next?!

Month two welcomed the smiliest little girl in the world. 🥰

Her personality really started to come alive, she took her first flight(s), she met a lot of family and dear friends in Charlotte, and we soaked in so much sweet time together. ♥️

I said this in my Story yesterday and several people responded to say that they either resonated with it or were glad I shared it because they’re on the fence about wanting kids…

I thought for a long time that motherhood wasn’t for me. I just didn’t think I was maternal or nurturing enough, and I didn’t think being a mom was very “me.” But something shifted a couple of years ago, and now… being Charli’s mom is the most “me” I’ve ever felt. 💕

P.S. A lot of the shift had to do with getting Laney and realizing how much I loved taking care of her. 🐾🫶
