Edin, bruh (pronounced Edinburgh): you were magical, enchanting, and delightful. I’m so lucky to have been able to extend the weekend by a few days to explore (with the hubby) a place I didn’t know much about until a few weeks ago. And boy, did it exceed my expectations!!

Kai and I didn’t get a lot of pictures with each other but that’ll change soon (you should click the link in my bio).

Ten years ago, I left a place I felt was safe and secure for something uncertain and a little scary. I cried a lot those first few weeks and months, and I failed in more ways than one (and still do). It felt like my world was crumbling, but it was really rebuilding itself, peeling back the layers so I could grow.

Somewhere in the middle of all that uncertainty, I met Kai (well, more like at the beginning - hence our anniversary dinner). Nashville, Chicago, Phoenix, and now Dallas, the place we call home: the cities kept changing, but he became the constant. He’s the love of my life, my husband, my universe, my everything.

Everything I’ve accomplished in these ten years, I did with Kai beside me: cheering me on through the wins, holding me up through the failures, and believing in me on the days I didn’t. The biggest thing I found when I took that leap wasn’t a new city or a new career. It was him.

Here’s to more years and more cities with you!

🌈Happy Pride, DIVAs!🌈

For many, pride is an annual party, a time to see friends, and even a time to grab some beads! For us, pride is all of that and more. It’s also a time of reflection, hope, and connection. We hope that every DIVA of the rainbow continues to find a home in DIVA and is able to always see our organization as a safe place. Our promise is that we will continually strive to build a healthy environment for competition, a community where you can be your true self, and a home away from home.

I was thinking about a caption to use for this post when I realized ten years ago, I set sail (I drove in my Honda Fit) from Providence to Nashville.

While I am no Odysseus (nor do I want to be despite Nolan’s adoption of Odysseus as more heroic than the text, in my opinion), these past few weeks of being able to stay in Rhode Island and Nashville has allowed me to reflect on my relationship with and understanding of atonement, hubris, and destiny (also family, honor, tradition, law, love and sacrifice).

Anyway, here’re pictures from our time in Nashville (re: volleyball and a baby shower).

What was the sirens song then?

All the things you wanted it to be.

Then, all the things you wish you never wished for.

It was the delicious itch you go to scratch. To find it’s under the skin you can’t reach. So the delicious itch becomes unbearable.

Told you what you most want, is what you most can’t have.

And what you most can’t have, is what you already had, and lost.

It was the song of all the promises I failed to keep.

Can’t believe it’s already been a month since being crowned Miss DIVA 2026 ✨

So far during my reign, I’ve had the opportunity to meet with representatives from The Resource Center, perform and help present our fundraising check at the Spring Banquet, and now the next stop is: PRIDE! 🏳️‍🌈

Feeling incredibly grateful to continue my journey by making sure everyone has heard about Miss DIVA and the amazing impact it has on our community. 💕

Caaappptaaaaainnnnn CUH——NT!!! Easily one of the funnest seasons I’ve had in DIVA; go through this post and you can see why! Thank you to my charismatic, unique, nerve-filled, and talented teammates for an amazing season and for enabling my shenanigans. It’s always a privilege to captain but a special honor to be this team’s!

Here’s a mandatory statement about being 4th in the season and tournament (?), but 1st place in our c*nts! We didn’t bring home a medal this season, but they would have melted from our p****** being on fire and all, so maybe it’s for the best.
