50th birthday #2 - a stunning lunch at R &R and a beautiful family weekend at Le Bonheur Manor House. We gathered more than 50 friends and family…15kg of chicken wings on the braai ( thanks to William for the braai!) and way too many bottles of wine to mention! Thank you all for making my 50th birthday last year so special @kdc_luvslife @angelajordaan @william.wilkinson.33671 @edoheyns @viljoenwelda @reneek.za @klaus.za @rosssleet @christiaanvdheever @philjoen @nadiahefer @wihannsteyn @dirkjacobuscoetzee @anelvdheever @mtthew.27 #50th #50thbirthday

✍️ Mavi Tur seyahatimizin detayları tulayozbay blog sitesinde. Profildeki Twitter linkinden ulaşabilirsiniz. 🌍 #seyahatokulu_travelschool #cempoyrazözbay #oglumpoyraz #hbdgo #travelphotography #travelblogger #travel #travelwithkids #travelwithfamily #travelwithfriends #gezi #gezginkadinlar #seyahatblog #seyahat #wondersofturkey #birbaşkadırbenimmemleketim #türkiye #mavitur #bluevoyage #göcek #dalaman #kleopatrakoyu #yıldızlarınaltında #denizkokusu #tulayozbayblog

I’m humbled that my dear friends @irismoiloa gave me the privilege to be a godfather to @keithsaramago who at 22 already has two degrees in finance from Stellenbosch and my late friend Meisiekind Fredericks at my raw age of 16 asked me to be a godfather to @lebogang_fredericks who ditched a mundane 9 to 5 to set up an emerging brand @everydaybespoke. They turned out examplary, amazing and responsible citizens. Our future is in great hands. I met Bradley DuChenne, now a global executive at Auto & General, in my first few weeks at varsity during the heights of apartheid. For several weekends he’d ask me to spend weekends at his parents house in then ”whites only” Morningside proved without intending to do so that the evil system of apartheid couldn’t suppress or separate good people, black or white. I met his then girlfriend, @kdc_luvslife and more 25 years ago it was a honour to be at their wedding and over the years to maintain the relationship. I’m a better marketer with a purposeful focus on Africa and public service because @kdc_luvslife has throughout the years not only been a great friend but as CEO of @kantar has selflessly supported my @brandafrica passions. She’s funny, smart and loyal. At the same time at Wits, I met @queen_mohale who is as beautiful and incredibly about the same size despite raising three successful adult children. More than 10 marathons around the world, Mt Kilimanjaro and an attempt at Comrades Marathon later and trekking 130km with me in Lesotho I got to see upclose the grit that’s enabled her to be an entrepreneur for more than 25 years. She’s loving, caring and good woman. I never doubted Terence Naidu would be one of the finest derivatives experts the minute we met 20 years ago at @nike through to attending his marriage to Dr Jaishree Naidoo, one of only 12 paediatric radiologists in the continent, 18 years ago. I learned by observing them how one builds success quietly, determinedly and humbly. I’m constantly on the move and have a lot on my mind+plate, but @nthabi_taukobong calms me. Her brother Serame wanted me to meet this author, interior designer extraordinaire and sister everyone one would want. I couldn’t agree more.
