🩸 Fang Friday 🩸

Happy Friday, everyone! Heading into this weekend, I wanted to share my vampire reading list/tbr and vampire recommendations! I’ve been a vampire girly ever since I read the Sookie Stackhouse series when I was probably way too young for it 😂 So anywho…here’s my tbr and list of recommendations for you all!

QOTD: do you have any vampire recs for me?!

what happens when you go to a photobooth in vienna in july then edinburgh in october? themed photo strips, of course!

when i had a venture into town i had the idea of themed reads along with the strips to match, since i do typically try & have some lighter reading in the summer especially 😌

so here they are: books i've read in the summer months these past couple of years, what's on my autumn tbr & what i think should be on YOUR autumn tbr 🫵🏻

i've loved all of the books i included in this & am hopeful about the ones i'm yet to read, i am starting to realise i may be a summer girl but more autumnal reader with these picks...

💬 what do you enjoy reading each season?

I‘ve seen this trend all over Instagram and wanted to give it a try as well. Many of these I have talked about to no end but some I have yet had the chance to mention👀 Also, yes, Besieger is on here twice but you will have to wring that book out of my cold dead hands before I stop talking about it

Sometimes you gotta judge some book covers. This is all completely subjective of course, so you can absolutely disagree with me on these.

Indie authors you should definitely support, Pt.2 💃🏻

@catandherwips has a lot of already available fantasy books, and can we talk about those covers?! Hello?!?!
@elenalocatelli_ is perfect if you're in a romance mood
@sinclairamacabre those books sound deliciously dark and romantic. And the covers are so *chef kiss*
@milliestgraves for when you're in a mood of bite sized dark romances
@t.m.baylor for female strong characters and all queer fantasy
@authorjesslayne has a completed romantasy series (go see the art and then go buy the books, trust me 👀)
@kdmitova because, well, queer vampires?!

To write, you have to read. In the spirit of being in the drafting process of my gothic vampire novel, I decided it would be a good idea to expand my vampiric reading horizons as I realized that I really only read the classics on that subject (and the wonderful Besieger, of course🙂‍↕️) Many of these are recommendations by the lovely resident vampire expert @kdmitova herself.
