saw @kimsbooks.rx do this tag and i was like ..perfect! another reason to post more pics from Banff! 🙂‍↕️🤣🫶🏼🇨🇦

swipe to see my picks and my reasonings / thoughts!

what is a book on your fall tbr?

🍂 fall foliage (a book cover with leaves) - need to read this one @paging_dr.bookworm

👣 unbeaten path (an underrated book) - i rarely see this one talked about!! one of my favs this year!

🏔️ crisp air (a refreshing read) - this book was so unique and unhinged, I loved it

🥾 hiking trail (a book series with at least 4 books that you've read from start to finish) - y'all i really haven't read a series longer than 4 books other than acotar... i need to do something about this 🫣

🏕️ perfect view (a book ending that made you cry/tear up) - so many books fit this category honestly 😣

🦬 wildlife (your favorite animal sidekick in a book) - tairn OF COURSE but he definitely gives main character energy

🎒 backpack (a book everyone needs to have on their tbr) - listen. if you like reality tv ESPECIALLY love island, you need to read this

💧water bottle (a book couple you couldn't get enough of) - elm and ione IMY

tagged are some of my fav gals on the internet!! i’ve gotten the opportunity to connect with some of the most amazing and genuine people on here. whether we’ve turned into irl besties, made a book club together, buddy read books, laughed over my sourdough fails, obsessed over jellycats, gushed over the same book, or, in some instances, lowkey trashed the same book 🤣 i’ve enjoyed getting to know these ladies immensely ⋆.˚🦋༘⋆

“the main character and the hero, they are not the same” 😭❤️‍🩹😭❤️‍🩹😭❤️‍🩹😭❤️‍🩹

my first book of 2026 being a 5🌟 read has really set the tone for this year!

fredrik backman and I have a love/hate relationship. anxious people and beartown? didn’t like 😔 a man called ove? LOVED 🫶🏼 so I was very glad to have enjoyed this one as much as I did. regardless of my feelings towards some of backman’s work, he is a phenomenal writer and storyteller, there’s no denying that; however, sometimes the way his books are written and the plot just don’t do it for me. he has a very distinct writing style.

giving backman another shot, I knew I wanted to listen to his latest book. sometimes I find that audiobook narrators can bring a story and characters to life better than myself imagining every nuance, tone, and piece of dialogue. I’m so happy I did because the audiobook was great!

backman’s stories are always character driven and this one was no different. I grew to love these characters immensely. a telltale sign of an amazing novel is when you feel as if you know the characters personally, you feel apart of their story, you don’t want it to end, and you miss them when it’s over ❤️‍🩹 backman is a master at writing real, raw, and human stories. you are given no choice but to root for these people.

tagged are some of MY FRIENDS who convinced me, personally, or through their ratings and reviews to pick this one up and give it a try 💙
