My year in politics!!!🇺🇸 One year ago, I began a journey that has grown into so much more than I ever imagined. This past year has brought incredible opportunities, meaningful connections, valuable lessons, and a passion for public service that continues to grow every day.
I am beyond thankful for everyone who has welcomed me into this space, encouraged me, answered my questions, and believed in my potential. To the leaders, mentors, friends, and everyone who has played a part in this journey, thank you for investing your time in me and reminding me that you don’t have to wait until you’re older to make a difference.
I have so much more to learn and so many goals I hope to accomplish, but I am incredibly grateful for how far I’ve come in just one year. My dreams are big, and I’m excited to keep growing, serving my community, and finding new ways to make an impact.

Here’s to one year down and a lifetime of learning, leading, and serving ahead. This is only the beginning! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

We wrap up our America 250 series with Dr. Mmeje, the SMU Senior VP for Student Affairs. We loved getting his insight as to why America 250 is such an important accomplishment in our country’s history.

BEST NEW CHAPTER OF THE YEAR!
This summer, our chapter of the @alexanderhamiltonsociety was honored to receive the
“Best New Chapter of the Year” award at the annual Student Leadership Conference in Washington, DC.
We’re thankful to our 2025-2026 Officer team for their hard work in earning this honor! Last year, our members joined us for 14 events at SMU to further our mission, and we’re just getting started. Stay tuned for more events this fall!

There are some things in life you never expect to happen, and sometimes the only choice you’re left with is to trust the path God has paved specifically for you.
It has been about a year since I made a decision out of stubbornness and spite over something someone said to me, a decision that ended up changing the trajectory of my story.
“I’ll help you however you want, but for the love of God, do anything except start a Turning Point chapter. It will ruin your life.”
A few weeks later, I attended Turning Point USA’s Young Women’s Leadership Summit and started my chapter.
I got to work. I posted on social media, attended local political events, and started making connections wherever I could.
Then Charlie Kirk was assassinated. I called my county chair and she insisted that I still attend the executive committee meeting that evening. The following Sunday while sitting in church, I received a call from someone I had met at that meeting. He asked if I would help plan a community event in Charlie’s honor.
I said yes. That event brought more than 2,000 people together in the heart of Rockwall. I was terrified. I gave a speech that night that I can barely remember. After that, I was thrown headfirst into the world of politics.
A few months later I received a text that I had been selected to visit the Governor’s Mansion. I met the governor and got my first real glimpse into high-level Texas politics. Afterward, while at the Capitol, I received a call asking me to speak at a campaign kickoff.
Campaign season was beginning, and I was pulled into it full force. Then I was given the opportunity to intern at my Texas House district office, introducing me to the world of government service.
Over the past year, my understanding of what it means to “work in politics” has changed dramatically. Politics is hard. Yet I still could never bring myself to trade it. I have had opportunities to serve my community, build relationships, and experience more in one year than many people experience in five. It has shown me what I love and where I feel called to be at this point in my life.
I have the sincerest appreciation for the memories that will forever have a place in my heart.
