Happy Birthday My Sunflower 🌻 - 11/11/24

When we stood at the Altar and made the vows “in sickness and in health, till death do us part,” I never imagined that 11 months into our marriage we’d have those vows tested.

I remember sitting by your bedside as you battled through that health situation, with tears in my eyes, scared, hurt, confused, asking God if He was really about to take you away from me.

To no surprise, God didn’t answer, or at least not in the way I expected... He gave me the comfort, peace and the assurance that He was going to take care of you, of me, of us, and while it was out of my hands, He had it all under control.

Today, we celebrate another year of life and God’s goodness. Lots of things we’re still “figuring out” but I’m so happy I get to figure it all out with you.

Thankful doesn’t even begin to describe how I’m felling right now. Literally overwhelmed as I reflect over all that has happened since your last birthday...

I love you, Kee.

PS. November 11, 2022 i promised you it would be your last birthday as Keeana Senior. I think I made good on that promise x2 so far :), Mrs. Smith <3.

1 year down, forever to go with you My Sunflower 🌻.

I’m still pinching myself that it has been 1 year since God gave me the opportunity to love and be loved by this amazing woman. @keeana_smith

As we danced out of that church, as our friends blew bubbles and clapped, the opportunities to act out our vows began to appear instantly.

Grace, patience, understanding, compromise, forgiveness, and soooooo much more.

Wow.

I’m thankful for our community of supporters who have lifted us up in prayers, encouraged us… man. Some were long time friends, others started as complete strangers that became family.

There’s so much more I had in mind to say, but more than anything, I’m just grateful beyond measure. Grateful for you, grateful to God.

God has been so faithful beyond measure to us. Thank you Lord for your provision, protection and love. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate our first year of marriage 🙏🏿

Yall, Today's my wife's birthday!

Last November for her birthday, I told her it would be her last one as Keeana Senior and I kept my promise 😅😁.

Babe, you are the most beautiful, kind, patient, loving, driven and supportive person I know!

God didn't hold back in pouring out the blessings on my life by allowing me the privilege to know you, love you and to marry you. 🥺

My Sunflower, today I pray that this year will be filled with blessings in abundance as you continue to grow in God's Grace. 🌻

That you'd continue to walk in purpose and focus.

That the days, months and years that have passed, won't even be able to compare to the tremendous blessings God has in store for you ahead!

As i got ready on the morning of June 17th, despite the nervousness, all I could think about is God's faithfulness and the fact that in a few I'd get to marry my best friend, my Sunflower @kee_kee_kaana .
