The car scene in Washington state continues to amaze me, this video simply captures a casual Friday night grabbing burgers at the local drive-in. When others see one “cool car”, word tends to spread quickly and before you know it there’s 3, there’s 4, and BOOM the parking lot is full of them🤯 Outside of the standard “show cars” we see at local events, there’s a TON of builds that don’t bother attending for their own reasons. It’s nights like this that bring everyone out, no trophies, no admission tickets, and everyone mostly behaving except for the typical few bad apples… regardless, love to see it Washington💚

Something about car meets on summer nights🥲 always stoked to see the JDM legends, but more importantly these nights make for memories that’ll last a lifetime. Especially when you have the right people around 💚

A 240 update. I don’t post much about what I’m working on in the background but it seemed like time. I’ve been trying to dial in reliability on the 240 while also trying to get the car to drive more aggressive.

Almost all of the suspension arms have been changed with the B knuckles being at the center of that (those of you who know me know I’ve been obsessed with these knuckles for years now lol). I also took the car to the frame rack in order to get the alignment dialed in accordingly. Still haven’t gotten everything perfected. But I’m getting closer.

Reliability is a whole different issue. After rewiring the car I have now replaced the entire fuel system and I’m on my third turbo along with various minor issues. After the last event I drove I ended up blowing the head gasket. Upon disassembly I discovered that the entire head, cams, rockers, and cam journals are destroyed. And the bottom end has some pretty significant detonation in 3 cylinders. So. Motor is out

Ive got a new motor lined up for the car but while I build funds and parts Ive decided to strip the engine bay down. Replace the torn shock tower and twisted core support. Tub the bay. And change the color to something that suits me more. Updates on that will come soon

While I’ve been fighting the car I also managed to gather enough parts to completely transform the interior with @lil_sawzall ‘s help painting all of the trim. I’ve got a couple more things to wrap up there but I’m extremely happy with how it has come out so far. I plan on continuing this theme across the entire car so everything will eventually match up.

Thanks for reading my ramble🤘
