✨ Music, Storytelling & Connection with Sunia 🎶

What a beautiful afternoon of music, storytelling, reflection, and connection with @suniacreative! 🥰

A huge thank you to Sunia for traveling to the Bay Area and sharing such a personal and meaningful performance with our KAD community. It was incredibly special to experience her creativity together and connect through the stories and shared experiences woven throughout her work.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a wonderful gathering, and to @randallmuseum for welcoming us into the space. 💕

And a special thank you to our community partners, @sfkoreancenter @thekornerstore_sf @ganadapreschool.sf, for joining us! It was wonderful to share a glimpse into the Korean adoptee experience beyond our KAD community and with our friends in the broader Korean American community. We’re so grateful for these connections and opportunities to continue learning from and supporting one another. 🥰

Big three weeks. Keelin and I spent some time in Ithaca helping her mom recover from hip surgery and goofed around a little. Then I went to Vail to see the home team. Met nephew Maxwell for the first time. Seems like a pretty chill guy. Met @maddiestevensurban and Bryan’s new dog (name tbd). Got back to my roots running after too much skiing or too many beers.

What a week. Snow caves, airport shuttles, skiing, story time, playgrounds and tacos. So fun to be back in Vail with the home team.

The year Logan was born, I started taking Riley to the US Open of surfing in Huntington, at the end of every summer. It started as a way to make sure the oldest sibling got attention, when the new guy arrived, but quickly turned into a fun tradition. The past few years, I’ve asked Logan if he wanted to join us on the surf trip. He replied, “No dad, I want to go with you to the Red Bridge City!” It took a little longer than expected due to COVID, but this weekend we finally made it happen, and Logan and I were able to see the bridge and the city! I think I’m the luckiest though, getting to take special trips with these two ninos!

My valentine is great cuz she took me to Cailfornia with her and came back to visit Colorado and reminds people to be nice and puts up with my very funny jokes when I’ve had one or two too many beers.
