Some exciting news I’ve been sitting on: I was selected for the 2026 Pinterest Inclusion Fund.

For the next several weeks I’ll be learning and building alongside a group of creators, with support from Pinterest, as I keep growing Rita in Wanderland and writing about what starting over in your forties actually looks like, the good and the hard.

Here’s what makes this one land for me. I left the US in 2018, sold what I owned, and rebuilt my lite solo in Albania in my forties.

When I went looking for women who’d done the same, at my age, I couldn’t find them.

So I started writing it myself.

Being picked for this is a reminder that the stories we think are too niche, or too late, are exactly the ones someone out there is searching for at 11pm wondering if it’s still possible for them.

To the women who read this and are quietly wondering if they’ve missed their window: you haven’t. That’s the whole reason I’m here.

Grateful to @pinterest and their amazing team for giving creators like me an opportunity to learn and share our stories.

It means a lot to have this kind of support behind work l’ve been building on my own for years.

Come find me on Pinterest @ ritaswanderland that’s where I’ll be putting a lot of this to work.

SUMMERS ARE COOL AGAIN 🌴

When the desert sun goes down, Palm Springs turns it up. 🌅🍹

It’s the season for a night out with friends, a table at El Patio, margaritas in hand, and plenty of good food to get the evening started—or keep it going.

Warm nights. Cold drinks. Great company. That unmistakable desert energy.

Because when summer looks this good, there’s only one place to be.

Palm Springs. Where summers are cool again. 🌴✨

SUMMERS ARE COOL AGAIN 🌴✨

Palm Springs doesn’t take the summer off—and neither does its creative spirit.

This season, the desert is alive with color, culture, and plenty of queer magic. 🔮🌈

At the Palm Springs Art Museum, A Queer Arcana: Art, Magic, and Spirit brings together 35 artists for a vibrant exploration of queer identity, spirituality, ritual, and transformation.

It’s bold. It’s unmistakably Palm Springs.

As the summer heat turns up in Palm Springs, one thing is clear… summer is cool again. ☀️🌴

Lazy afternoons by the pool, your favorite cocktail in hand, a look that’s effortlessly stylish, and enough confidence to catch a few admiring glances. 😏

Here’s to soaking up the sun, making memories, and living your best poolside life. Yeah… that kind of summer.
