Six weeks ago, I experienced a moment I’ll cherish forever: watching my daughter walk down the aisle and become a wife. As a single mom, my role in her life has always been a little bigger—equal parts mother, father, and, for this wedding, even the florist. I can honestly say I’ve never worked so hard or felt so many emotions all at once. Every late night, every sore muscle, every detail was absolutely worth it.
‌
This wedding was two years in the making, and planning it together became a journey of its own. My daughter and I spent countless hours planning, making decisions, and sometimes disagreeing over the tiniest things, but it brought us even closer. With the generous help of Allison @eecapecod we managed to create a summer celebration that truly reflected the love and friendship at the heart of their relationship.
‌
The day itself was magical. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all took place on the grounds of a dear friend’s historic Cape Cod estate, with sweeping views of the marsh and Cape Cod Bay in the distance. A majestic tent from @truenortheventrentals set the scene, and @blackdiamondboston made sure everything ran smoothly. I was honored (and a little nervous!) to give the welcome speech, looking out at a sea of faces—family, friends, and the village that helped raise my daughters.

Even with so many people, the day felt intimate and deeply personal, filled with little touches that made it feel like home. Walking my daughter down the aisle and officially welcoming her husband into our family was a moment I’ll never forget. 💕

I share this not just to show off these beautiful photos by @sweetconnollyphoto and hair & makeup by @michelleshairandbeautybridal but to let you know I truly understand what my clients go through. I’ve been the bride, I’ve been the mom, and I know how overwhelming—and wonderful—these moments can be, even with a slight undertone of loneliness. ‌

Ok now that I’ve finally stopped crying… This past week leading up to my sister’s wedding was nothing short of incredible. I’ve been by her side planning and watched a year and a half of extremely hard work come to life effortlessly. Not to mention, there’s nothing like Cape Cod in the summer and spending time laughing with family. I am emotional!!!! My speech was an absolute slammer btw. Shoutout to my co-maid of honor @danigirlx1x7 and my new BROTHER IN LAWWW @jeremyburke17 So lucky I get to have Mr. & Mrs. Burke in my life 💖 @keely_burke_

Bridal Hair and Makeup Today for Stunning Keely’s wedding. It was a large bridal party…14 people having services with a 9am start time, and a 2:30pm finish time.
I did Keely’s hair and makeup for a photoshoot years ago with her Mom Kristyn, who is the owner of KJFlorals. Keely reached back out to me a couple years ago to lock in her wedding hair and makeup with us. I am so honored you chose us Keely!

2025 was the year everything finally clicked into place. The business found its rhythm, which meant I could actually enjoy my downtime, without feeling guilty or anxious about what I was missing at work. That balance became my north star, the long-term goal I’m still chasing: living fully, while maintaining this awesome career, giving my best to my clients, and not losing myself in the process.
‌
This year was packed with both work and play. I traveled all over Florida—Miami, Vero Beach, Palm Beach, Melbourne Beach, Sarasota, Boca Grande and Disney World. I also made it to Chicago, LA, Vegas and London, all with my oldest daughter, which created memories of a lifetime.
‌
In between those trips, were some camping adventures in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains, the Adirondacks, Lake George, and along the Saco River in NH. There’s something about being out in nature that just resets everything for me. I even managed to squeeze in some local days of golfing and boating with family and friends, in the midst of the busy summer wedding season here on the Cape …but more importantly, my youngest daughter “said yes to the dress” for her upcoming wedding this June 🥰

I’m blessed to have a fearless, loyal team of longtime friends (and family!) that help execute these gorgeous weddings. A shout out to @jmkutil_21 @njmciver @archase54 @sherrijoyce75 …your friendships mean the world to me! 💛
