As graduation season comes to a close, I can’t help but feel incredibly proud of these eight young people.

Over the past several years, I’ve had the privilege of watching them grow into leaders, advocates, volunteers, employees, teammates, and most importantly, amazing individuals. Some of them I’ve worked with throughout their entire high school careers, while others joined us more recently, but each one has left their mark on the Youth Action Board, Teen Centers and especially on me.

One of the greatest parts of my job is getting a front-row seat to their journeys. I’ve watched them step outside their comfort zones, discover their strengths, lead projects, support their peers, overcome challenges, and grow into the kind of people who will make a difference wherever life takes them.

As they head off to colleges, universities, and new opportunities, I am excited to see what comes next for each of them. While I’m sad to see them leave our program, I know the future is in good hands.

Thank you, Amaro, Caden, Stover, Malaia, Keely, Ellie, Ainsley, and Ivy, for allowing me to be a small part of your journey. Watching you grow has been one of the greatest rewards of this work.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. I couldn’t be more proud. 🫶🏼🎓

Just recovering from the weekend: Avery's grad party, sent Brady off to Australia for the summer, Josey turned 15 and Gabe's grad party - my favorite people in the world, lots of love and laughter! 🩷🧡
