12 DAYS AT THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIR 🍪

I started working at @sweetmarthas when I was 10 years old. I could barely reach the counter and was always getting in trouble for eating cookies…

Now I still eat a lot of cookies but don’t get in trouble for it…

here are some of my fav moments 🩵

I run the “clipboard,” aka telling everyone what to do, where to go, and when to take their breaks.

Oh and of course we love a theme here….

I call it camp counseling because most of the kids who work here are 15, and this is their first job. It’s so fun teaching them how to ~work~ but also how to have #fun while doing it

BLUE SHORTS DAY in our limited edish @petrifiedgood LL bean shorts

@jarolson is my sister/cousin/bestie/right hand and we make sure to take plenty of dance breaks….

It’s truly a fam affair! Most of us take time off our jobs to work 12 hour shifts, all 12 days. Absolute whirlwind!

My auntie Martha (left) and mother Mary (right) cleaning trays at the end of the night. They come from a family of eight, and are 10 years apart but absolute besties! My mom is a middle school teacher, and despite school being in session, she comes straight from teaching to work at the fair. All 12 days!! These are two of the hardest working women I know, and such an inspiration to me 💘

I somehow convinced my besties @sarahhank_ and @anthynguyenn to work here during college and they still come back every year!! I’m so lucky to have them 💗

Oh and if the news calls Lucia is always available! 😂

Merch day!!

My dad wins a huge stuffed animal every year playing the “bottle game” it’s so fun but also my mom’s worst nightmare cause it is “definitely not staying in our house!” We always give it away to someone who wants it lol

LOVE my cookie family so much

The crew cleaning and shutting down the booth on day 12

That’s a WRAP!! See you next year!
