💚 More Than a Game.

What a special night for K’s for Kids! 🥎

This spring, thanks to the amazing support of family, friends and the Yorktown softball community, we raised more than $1,500 to help organizations that create memorable sports experiences and opportunities for kids and young adults with special needs and disabilities.

Last Friday night, I was proud to present a K’s for Kids donation to Ellen Pikula, Mid-State Regional Director of Special Olympics New York, at the Lime Kiln Recreation Fields in Fishkill.

Even better was getting to stay and cheer on the athletes from Northeast Westchester Special Recreation and the Hudson Valley Hurricanes from Dutchess County. I had so much fun spending time with the athletes, coaches and umpires and seeing firsthand the joy, friendships and love of the game that make nights like this so special.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported our first fundraiser. Your generosity made this possible and is helping make a difference for so many. 💚

This is only the beginning, and I can’t wait to continue working with Keeper of the Game, Special Olympics New York, Miracle League of Westchester and others to create even more opportunities to play, serve and inspire.

Cal needed to sleep in today after the excitement of his first @trentonthunder game with @22qawarenesstour...

But that just means you have an extra day to prepare your dance moves AND request a song if you want! Dance Break Saturday coming in hot tomorrow. Go Birds, nerds!

WATCH: "There is a lot more to life than just the game of baseball."

#Rays outfielder Ryan Vilade loves baseball so much that he wants to share it.

Through the Keeper of the Game foundation, he's spreading the game he loves to people with special needs and disabilities. It's a cause that means a lot to the Vilade family.
