We know how to Surf and we know how to party!

Building a sport, It’s not just words to me: Hawaii, USA, Australia, Brazil, France it’s easy to get equipment and coaching… other countries not so much…
I’m glad to share my knowledge and give my pink board to Gaelle just getting started from Belgium. It’s too small for her, but it’ll help her learn to paddle & duckdive :)
And give a spare wetsuit to Georgina from Argentina. Water women gotta support each other. I am of course, happy to coach the girls in Hawaii now that things have finally settled down! Excited to see how far we can all go🙌

Lastly, Having drinks, tacos and talking about how we’re gonna create a geopolitical utopia was an absolute highlight for me after all the contest pressure 🫶 I swear those spicy margaritas had healing properties

He returns to a route he’d done before on a hardtail. A 50km loop from Canmore to Banff behind Mt Rundle through Goat Creek trail, and all the way back again. This time on the Bowhead RX.

Why is a clinician speaking at a trails conference? Because trails are healthcare!

Last week, at the inaugural Canadian Trail Summit hosted by the @transcanadatrail (Sentier Transcanadien), I had the privilege of speaking about how nature exposure data can help us better understand the health and well-being value of trail systems. The many folks at TCT worked hard to deliver a phenomenal week of experiences at @theforkswinnipeg, @fortwhytealive, and @assiniboine_park.

I also had the honour of learning from people who understand trails far beyond recreation. Accessibility leaders, community builders, researchers, advocates, and the insanely talented trail professionals working every day to make outdoor spaces more inclusive and connected.

Grateful to be learning from this sector and excited to keep making the case that trails should be treated (and funded!!) like preventative healthcare.
