Empowering Pennsylvanians to keep our communities clean and beautiful.

Raystown Lake in Huntingdon County Pennsylvania is a beautiful part of the state! I hiked this morning and collected a couple of small bags of litter. That really wasn’t much which is wonderful! Did get a pizza box right near the lake and a chair covered in zebra mussels that someone kindly pulled out of the water- probably from their boat. I carried these 2 larger items up to the parking area and contacted the park rangers with the army Corps of Engineers, who will collect these 2 items. I love their cigarette litter receptacles funded through Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful! This is easy - go for a little walk and pick up some Litter! #bethechange #lovewhereyoulive #litterattractslitter #huntingdoncountypa

Woohoo! On 10/17, Keep Coatesville Beautiful, the Chester County Litter Lifters, and volunteers from various groups worked together to clean up Lincoln Highway (1st-9th Ave) and Martin Luther King Blvd (1st-3rd Ave) in Coatesville. They also cleaned out downtown planters, added mums and pumpkins, and planted daffodil bulbs. What an amazing effort! 👏

Thank you to everyone involved!

The beautiful City of Coatesville in Chester County, Pennsylvania got cleaned up today with 35 volunteers! Students from Coatesville high school showed up in full force, including members of the cross-country team, art department and Leo club! 40 bags of litter was collected on Lincoln Highway from 9th to 1st Avenue, as well as Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. Special thanks to PA State representative Dan Williams and his team Molly and Bill for helping to make a difference, and Bill Rettew from the Daily Local newspaper for covering the story. Shout out to: Coatesville Police Dept and Lieutenant OLLIS; Coatesville Public Works department and manager Julius Scott; Penndot; and volunteers from CAFF- Coatesville Area Friendly Faces. Everyone cleaned sidewalks, curbs, storm drains, under trash & outside of trash cans, pulled weeds, planted daffodils, and made this community even better. #bethechange #lovewhereyoulive #litterattractslitter #chestercountypa #chestercountybeautiful

Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful, the state nonprofit for all things to do with Litter management and beautification, hosts an annual conference. Today I enjoyed a walking tour of the beautiful city of Reading, Pennsylvania, an affiliate to Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful. I saw so many beautiful pollinator plants in this urban setting, and thousands of bees! Even saw a rooftop garden from the hotel attracting more bees. They are onto something here! We saw stunning outdoor art installations of murals and sculptures. Connected with my friend Steve Ward, who does a tremendous amount of work with the city of Scranton. Tomorrow will be a jampacked day. Cannot wait! Never stop learning. #keeppabeautiful #keeppennsylvaniabeautiful #readingpa #lovewhereyoulive

West Brandywine Township, Coatesville in beautiful Chester county PA planned a cleanup of Rt 82 today! This awesome Township adopted a 2 mile section of Route 82 in their municipality. They have done several cleanups over the past 12 months. This was a fun cleanup for me, especially because I didn’t have to be the event planner. I could just show up on time and get to work! Around 10 volunteers cleaned up a short section of Route 82 the travels along the west branch of the Brandywine. The rain held off until the very end - we collected maybe 25 bags of litter that Penndot will haul away this week. Shout out to police chief Kimes and Terry Aschulter, lead volunteer. When we all work together, great things can happen! #bethechange #lovewhereyoulive #litterattractslitter #chestercountypa #chestercountybeautiful

Yesterday CCCD hosted its first @keeppabeautiful Adopt-A-Highway Clean-Up along 1.5 miles of Rt. 926 from the Rt. 82 intersection to Northbrook Rd!

Our friends from @wsfs_bank joined us for their 'We Stand For Service' volunteer event. They were amazing help and even better company! Together, we collected 19 full bags of litter, along with several larger items such as a metal gate, house siding and a tire. We even sturdied up a speed limit sign!

Our clean-up ran along a stretch of road that many folks travel along every day to visit and work for local businesses and attractions - including our own office space! This little corner of Chester County is pretty special to us, so we're glad to give it some TLC.

We'll be back out for another clean-up in the Spring. Until next time! 🫶

The French creek in East Pikeland twp chester county Pennsylvania has dumping and irresponsible littering close to it that needs to get cleaned up.. AGAIN! I reported this back in March- was told that a clean up was on schedule April 2, which was probably true. I never had time to go look at the area after their event plus I never got any photos or follow up of any kind. The litter lifters don’t have time to clean this up- if you know government leaders in east Pikeland twp that might be able to activate residents in that community to work together- please reach out to them. I can’t clean up chester county all by myself- I need people to step up and organize their own cleanups! Chester county leaders need to manage the litter in their municipalities. We are tired of lip service. #bethechange #lovewhereyoulive #litterattractslitter #chestercountypa #frenchcreekpa

Thank you for making our event a success! 🛞🌟

The annual Tire War recycling event collected 545 tires this year! Now, all those tires will be recycled and reused as rubber mulch, turf, molded products, and more.

We want to give a big THANK YOU to Oliver Township and our volunteers who helped this year! This event is not possible without all of their hard work! Volunteers included PCCD employees, community members, and Newport High School’s Environmental Club.

Tire War continues to support the mission of Keep Perry County Beautiful and protect our natural resources.

Chester County, Valley Township ZIPCode 19320 outside of Philly is beautiful, but we have a Litter issue! Our 20 volunteers are cleaning up a dump site on a state road tomorrow and yes, it will be raining. Shout out in advance to our friends, Dale, Steve, and Mark, who will be bringing their trucks and muscles. We will load up the debris and transport it to the dumpster. Thank you: Roberts filter company for providing a space for the dumpster as well as parking for the volunteers; A J Blosenski for providing the dumpster, as well as incurring the cost of the takeaway and recycling the tires ; Coatesville Country Club for providing boxed lunches for everyone helping! Think of us while you are in your cozy warm home! #bethechange #lovewhereyoulive #litterattractslitter #chestercountypa #chestercountybeautiful
