Testimony Time: As many of you know, a few months ago the Lord started talking heavily about discipleship and starting a Bible study in Toronto. Since then, it’s grown into a beautiful family of brothers and sisters in Christ. A little while ago, the Lord put it on our hearts to go away for a couple of days to a cabin, just to seek Him together. We didn’t know what to expect, but we knew He wanted us to go. Before the retreat, the Lord had given a vision concerning a married couple in our Bible study, specifically about deliverance and breakthrough. The crazy thing is, so many things were getting in the way of them coming. But by God’s grace, they made it, and we all came together to help one another with food, finances, and whatever was needed. It reminded me of the church in Acts. The Lord moved so powerfully in those couple of days, and so many of us were marked. One of the most special moments was when the sister the Lord had highlighted in that vision ended up getting baptized. Another sister had seen a vision of chains breaking, and after coming out of the water, the sister who was baptized said she literally felt chains breaking off of her. You genuinely cannot make this stuff up. The week before, we’d been studying Ephesians 6 and the full armor of God. Because of the weather, we needed somewhere indoors for the baptism. The hotel we found was literally called The Sword, and when we walked in, there was a picture of a soldier wearing the full armor of God. Mind you, we’d JUST been talking about this. The Lord really is in the details. I share this because obedience isn’t just about us. Sometimes God asks us to do something and we have no idea why, how it’ll work out, or who it might impact. But we don’t obey Him just because we expect to see fruit. We obey because we love Him, trust Him, and know that He knows best. So if the Lord has put something on your heart, be obedient, even when you can’t see the full picture. You never know whose life your yes might impact. And even if you never see the outcome, He’s still worthy of your obedience. All glory to Jesus! #fyp #jesus #christian #ymz

Each week we dive into Psalm 119 at our Connect Groups! We are reminded time and time again the importance of the Living Word of God- our Bible! We are not meant to simply flip it open and read it because that is the right thing to do… we are meant to invite the Holy Spirit to partner with us. As we cultivate this discipline- we are now not only reading out of obedience- but we are falling in love with the author and coming to know the Character of God!
