August 2026 🪩🍉🌊 A summer under the stars and under the disco ball! Words cannot express how incredible this month was. Singing under the stars and having summertime fun with my amazing new sisters ❤️They showed me what true friendship can be like and I am forever grateful. I am still in denial that Sister Act is closed so I am not going to talk about that yet… So, let’s focus on the fact that I got to see my favourite singer perform. I have loved @cynthiaerivo for over a decade, her talent has had me in awe for so long and seeing her in person exceeded every expectation I had. Yes, lots of tears were shed. Especially since I walked in hoping she would sing Alfie by Dionne Warwick but highly doubted she would…. AND SHE DID. (And I gasped and freaked out so loudly when she introduced the song that even she heard it and acknowledged it, and I will never recover). Her aura is insane. And honestly, seeing my musical theatre icon the same summer that I returned to theatre after a decade, was pretty f***ing special!!!!!! I’M BACK BABY! Get into it or get tf out 😘

Y’all. I am in DEEP denial that Sister Act is closed. Say it ain’t so! Sustaining a career as a multi-hyphenate creative means exploring many different avenues of storytelling and for the past little while I’ve been mostly expressing myself creatively through writing and making movies while putting live performance on the back burner. BUT LET ME TELL YOU getting the opportunity to play Deloris in Sister Act @tutsvancouver this summer was the sweetest reminder that there’s a certain magic that ONLY live theatre can conjure. Those beautiful ephemeral moments that only exist in our memories now (God, I love that), the instantaneous energy exchange that happens with each audience, the community, the connection, the bonds that grow stronger and stronger with every performance (Oof! I could cry), and not to mention, the permission to move people, change their minds or simply to entertain. This show and EVERY single person involved was a perfectly timed gift from above. To my sweet Sister Act sisters/brothers/siblings: I love you all so much with my whole heart. We did the damn thing and I had the absolute BEST time. Sister Act 2026 🌟💒🪩💛 “Help the world rejoice!” This has been a dream come true. To work with such an incredibly passionate, kind-hearted, welcoming group of people on such a beautiful show was healing. Mary Robert was truly like looking in a mirror. Telling her story was so personal and cathartic and I am forever grateful. 💛 Thank you to all my wonderful cast mates (I love you all dearly), to the crew and orchestra, and the entire creative time. Sister Act (2026) 🪩 at Theatre Under The Stars I cannot quantify just how important this experience has been to me. As my first theatre production out of theatre school, and my first time being paid for my work (eek!) I won the lottery working with such a dedicated and fun loving cast and crew. The genuine friendships we all built were woven into the fabric of the show; it was a breeding ground for good vibes, good music, and celebration!
