A closer look at the works presented in Resonance. (Part 2)

Held at 67 York Street Gallery from 19-21 September 2026 as part of London Design Festival, Resonance brought together 20 artists to explore how emotional, cultural, and historical imprints become embedded in matter and how these vibrations continue to move through objects long after their creation.

Through atmospheric installations and tactile encounters, visitors were invited to slow down, tune in, and experience each artwork not only visually but physically and emotionally. The exhibition formed a shared field of frequencies between artist, object, and viewer, offering a contemplative counterpoint within the dynamic landscape of London Design Festival.

Resonance Exhibition · Artwork Highlight — Cutting Board Violin by Keimfleck (@keimfleck)

This violin installation was born from Chengyi and Suzhi's experience of living in Shanghai's traditional lilong houses- residential spaces that embody a unique style of communal living from 20th-century China. One of the most distinctive features still preserved in these old houses is the shared kitchen, a space where multiple families cook, eat, and interact daily. In these compact environments, lives intertwine over worn wooden cutting boards, steaming pots, and the unspoken rules of cohabitation, forming a microcosm of both intimacy and tension.

See the real work at the Resonance exhibition.
