A little BTS from Mr. Nelson, Did You Kill People? 🎬

Last year, Cameron stepped onto a movie set for the very first time and today, that film makes its world premiere in Competition at the Venice Film Festival. Still a little crazy to even type that 🥲

This was Cam’s first movie, his first time stepping into a character for a feature film, and an entirely new experience for both of us. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people for him to experience it with.

Tatyana and Rodney were truly the BEST movie mom and dad he could’ve had for his first time around. 🥹 From the beginning, they made him feel so comfortable, supported and confident in his role. As his real-life mom watching from behind the scenes, that meant everything to me.

That same warmth extended throughout the entire set. Shinya and the rest of the cast and crew created an environment where Cam could learn, have fun, ask questions, be a kid and still feel like he belonged there.

Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of Mr. Nelson, Did You Kill People? on tonight’s world premiere. So grateful Cam gets to be a small part of this incredible project and even more grateful that his introduction to filmmaking was surrounded by people who made his first experience such a special one.

Venice Film Festival. In Competition. His film debut. 🥹🎥

And next… Toronto. 🇨🇦✨

A really terrific completion of beginning technique class at the T Schreiber Studio. We packed a lot in. 8 weeks of exercises. Looking at all these pictures I'm beginning to think I work too much LOL I love teaching. I love directing and I love writing as well. So as I say when you love what you do you never work a day in your life.
