Dear Travel Softball,
Thank you for the countless memories, the hard lessons learned, the sisters you gave me, the strength you have brought me, the struggles i was put through, and most of all for the love of the game. This sport has taken me farther than that little 7 year old girl, who decided to pick up a bat for the first time, could’ve ever imagined possible. I have put on many different jerseys in my life, but this last one will hold a special place in my heart for a lifetime. This place became a home for me, a place where I always knew I was supported, cared for, and most importantly for me, pushed to limits they all knew I could reach. I know for the years to come that I will always have a place to call home. It has always been the dream to play college softball, and this organization is what has made it possible for me. I could not be more grateful for all the opportunities and doors that this organization has opened for me. Thank you travel softball for giving me the last 10 years to fall in love with something so much bigger than myself. It’s true what they say, Once A Bomber, Always A Bomber!!🖤🤍💣#Bomber4Life

Dear Minisink Softball,

Through some of the hardest years of my life, softball has always been my constant.

Every time this song has played I always related it to you, and tried to push aside that one day I would have to live it. Playing softball for Minisink the last 6 years of my life has given me infinite memories and lessons I will never ever forget. Irregardless of the losses, the hard days, long practices, days where it felt like the world was going to end, I knew at the end of the good days, and even the bad, I always had you to look forward to. Irregardless of my stats, or the mistakes I’ve made, I am happy to have ended my season the way I did - surrounded by this team. Stats and records are just numbers on a screen, the real things that I will remember are the bus rides where I nearly lost my voice before the game even started, the McDonalds runs, the water balloon fight, and all of the fun and crazy things that we got to do together. The girls I was able to be surrounded by are some of my bestfriends and I’m glad to be able to carry these friendships off the field. Thank you to every school ball Coach I’ve ever had that has helped me grow into the player I am today. Thank you to Coach Shana and Coach Meg for pushing me to do my best each and everyday and for the new nickname (😁). The memories made on this team will forever hold a special place in my heart and I will never forget them. 7 out 💚🤍

Section 9 Class AA Champions 🏆

Minisink Valley battled its way to a sectional title Saturday, earning a hard-fought championship victory over Valley Central at Mount Saint Mary College.

Hannah Ringus went 2-for-3, Kiera Barry finished 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Keira Filip scored two runs. Emily Smith picked up the win and added an RBI at the plate.

Valley Central was led by Adrianna Ferraro, Emma Sharpe, and Emily Smit in a championship game that came down to the final inning.

The Warriors now advance to the state tournament.
