#almostfamous 🎸 #nyctrip #pt1
so I went to NYC twice in two weeks in January. one trip was originally planned a wayyy in advance … but the plan included seeing @almostfamousbwy … & then they announced their closing date …
a week before the planned trip 😓
soooo naturally, I wasn’t missing @justcaseylikes’ Broadway freaking debut, so I bought a plane ticket ✈️ took a redeye into the city, arrived at the #bernardjacobstheatre at 05:32 … and waited til 10:00 when the box office opened 😬
I was first in line, of course, but I was shortly met with splendid company at about 06:30 by @ianmilleruk (@almostfamousmusicalfans) and we chatted til the normal people started arriving around 07:00 🤓
made some friends in line, got the tickets, met up with @jonicebernard & got brunch with @baileydgorman, saw @akimbomusical 😍💙💚💛🧡, cried, took a nap, then headed back to the Jacobs for the show.
Jonice can attest but … I don’t think I ever STOPPED bawling, from the moment Case walked on stage and started singing, til the final bow of the show after curtain call 🥲
I’ve never been prouder of this boy & I have been with him as William for 3+ years now. this journey has been nothing short of exemplary & the transformation he’s gone through in the last few years… otherworldly. 😌
Casey, you know how much I love you & how proud I am of you. I still have no words to describe the miraculous show I saw out on in that theater though. I was just so happy I made it to see it for one it’s very last times. 🧡
more NYC pics to come, but for now, enjoy this chaotic set of post show pics, pre-show shenanigans, & crazy freezing cold pictures taken in that HUGE box office waiting line 😇
congratulations, Casey Nicholas. you brought em home. but I know it’s definitely not the last time. ✨
oh and I FINALLY GOT TO MEET MY LOVE @ray.mp4 AHH 🥰 many years in the making, well worth the wait.
be back soon 💌
