Jamal and Yene… A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN!!! This dynamic duo brought to life an amazing event celebrating all things TEXTURE! Seeing two amazing artists who look like me and are from the area has inspired me on a level that you would have to be FROM THE CITY to understand. COMMUNITY was the word of the day, and baby, that’s exactly what it felt like! A safe space to learn, express ourselves, connect, and just HAVE A GOOD TIME! I laughed until my stomach hurt, danced, and soaked up all the knowledge the panelists shared. SO MANY GEMS!!! 💎 And of course, it’s ALWAYS good seeing my hair friends I haven’t seen in a minute! Coil Confidential felt like a WARM HUG to the textured hair community. Everything about this event reminded me why community, representation, and sharing knowledge matter so much. Congratulations, Jamal, Yene, and the entire Coil Confidential family!
