These events have been a total smash and we’re back for more connections of all kinds. This edition is Gay Men’s Speed Friending & Dating! It’s been incredible to watch connections form and groups hang out after for our entertainment! We’ve designed a night were there’s no stress, just chill vibes and a safe space to come together and meet someone new. Maybe a spark, or maybe meet your new best friend! How it works: Upon purchasing a ticket and arrival, you’ll get a name tag and options of wristbands that reflect who you are and what you’re interested in (completely based on your comfort). Your ticket includes a beverage ( draft beer , cider , well drinks or a mocktail) as well as a snack off our tasty snack menu. We’ll have a solid round of sessions where you get one on one with everyone. After everyone has had a chance to meet, we’ll open the space for mixing and mingling and you’ll be informed of any matches or interest whether it’s friends or something more via email . Plus, STARmaker is starting at 7:30 pm, right after, so stick around and make a night of it. Let the apps go and get some face to face! It’s all about building community and connection no matter what you’re looking for or where you fit in, you belong here, together. Sunday March 29th 5-7pm & beyond! 🚀

It doesn't take a genius economist to understand how vital art is and the ROI of investing in it... According to statistics Canada, the arts and culture sector has been growing at roughly double the rate of the overall economy over the past three years. If you think about it, there is a cycle that happens where artists bring art, music and culture to lower income neighbourhoods...over time those areas become hip-hot-cool-places to live; wealthy people move in, gentrification happens, artists move out to other affordable areas, and the growth cycle continues. ♻️🏡💲📈 Art adds life and soul. 🌱 It is a beneficial healing force in society that is often overlooked in its infinite value. ✨ If you read books, watch Netflix, stream music, enjoy movies that aren't silent, enjoy walls with art on them...you support the arts. There is no division here. All of us are advocates for the arts. Enjoying the fruit of artists work yet not believing in investing in it is hypocritical. It is good for the mind, the heart and the soul. 🧠❤️‍🔥 I know for me, art and especially live music is what helps me integrate the emotional ride of life. 🎭 Music has the ability to regulate the nervous system, bring stillness, contemplation, joy, inspiration or help to process grief. It is what allows presence, connection, community and a sense of belonging. One of the reasons my partner @tom.insoundmusic and I moved to Nova Scotia is because Nova Scotia has a cultural identity and thriving arts scene. The recent cuts to arts funding here are devastating and they must be reversed. Please cherish, protect, prioritize, strengthen and invest in artists and the arts, always and forever more. 🙏🪽 Tagging @timhoustonns who has the power to reverse the recent cuts to arts and culture funding in Nova Scotia, Canada.
