unknown - untitled is one of those special labels that puts the music itself directly at the forefront of everything before anything else. The label keeps the artist name hidden until the physical vinyl release has hit the people's doorsteps, where you can find the name inside the sleeve. Only then is the Bandcamp and all other outlets updated with the full artist name and metadata. Across its catalogue, unknown - untitled has brought together a varied cast of producers working across techno, breakbeat, garage, bass and experimental electronic music, maintaining an emphasis on discovery rather than artist profile. __________________________ I wanted to put together a post highlighting some of my favourite tracks from the label. My selection may show a slight bias of my preference but I think it shows a good variety of what has been released. There's some outstanding tracks here, so if you don't know them already, make sure you give them a listen. The latest and forthcoming release, uu015, vinyl will be released next Friday where the name of the artist(s) will be revealed. I've included a clip of one of the tracks in the last slide but What's your favourite track(s) or releases on the label? Black Box was really special and a BIG thank you to everyone who came to see what we were on about. We have recordings (video and audio) of the whole night so we'll see what happens with all that. (btw, its not too late to bring us out for a Halloween show ;) Anyway, hope you dig the show as always! (link in bio)
