STILL

Specifically designed for the architectural flow of Found Objects, STILL set in the Arts District of Los Angeles, is a choir of vibration, sound, and light that gives form to a spatial labyrinth as it expands across all edges of the space.

As you near the central core, it all dissipates, and the stillness brings forth a deeper connection and awareness of one's senses. This translates to clarity and reflection of one's presence. The audience witnesses the complex journey of finding stillness within the self through a light and musical rendition. The choreographed performance is the human element and emotional extension of the spatial experience.
Your stillness emerges as the art piece.

The color and light sequence established for the exhibition speaks to the tonality of stillness. Building off of the foundational chemical makeup of color frequencies, we can garner the truest forms of color by bringing to life the emotional connection one has with their home environment. A warm palette showcases a natural comfortability, while cool tones represent synthetic uncertainties. Showcasing the duality of color, light, and emotion that lead our daily habits and rituals; attributing to the symmetry of color. The score of the exhibition evokes a sense of introspection, utilizing synth bass, kick drums, and low frequency instruments to enhance the immersive experience.

brilliant job to the full team — can’t wait to see this passion project now come to life!

Absolutely thrilled to finally share and give a peek into a part of my world this past year that has nourished my creative spirit - a collaborative passion project with an incredible group of designers, artists, and engineers that began with the simple desire to project meaningful experiences into the world. ⁣
⁣
I knew that I needed to intentionally seek out creative inspiration and connection to keep my cup full after the pandemic. It’s been surreal to translate a narrative through spatial design, and to now see it come to life alongside some incredible partners. ⁣
⁣
It all started with Rose + Kellen of @studiospace.info - thank you for being the catalyst behind ‘STILL’ ⁣
⁣
The exhibition will be hosted in Los Angeles, CA January 26-29 with a weekend program of performances that explore the concept of stillness. ⁣
