Look who made "loca.vore" Wednesday! Our very own Farmer Shawn and Park City Harvest partner Rich Myers have put out a great little growing primer that features tips on how to plant, cook and preserve a variety of vegetables. Thanks to Kellie Lambert for spotlighting local farmers who love what they do. The book is available on Amazon now. @park.city.harvest.llc

Kellie was my first friend when I moved to CT in 4th grade. When I was home my senior year of high school, 1987, she brought my work to me every week. She never knew I was pregnant, the story was I was “sick.”

Today, she met my son. Watching them talk, watching Matt watch me & Kellie talk.

I am so overwhelmed with emotions. Going to have a good cry now. ❤️

Today is YOUR day, Kellie!! And I want to thank you. Thank you for reminding me through your example…

- It’s okay to fall, as long as you remember to get back up.
- It’s okay to admit that sometimes you’re not okay.
- It’s okay to want to know the whole story, because the truth is important.
- It’s okay to say what you feel, even when you’re still trying to find your voice.
- It’s okay to stand up for what’s right even when bullies are trying to push you down.
- It’s okay to put your children ahead of everyone else, including yourself.
- It’s okay to love too deeply.
- And most of all, I want to thank you for reminding me that it’s okay to be me.

I love you forever. Happy happy happy birthday! May everything you are for others be celebrated. 💕

When you’ve been feelin’ a bit of the holiday blues, and you come home to, not 1 but, 2 gifts!!

A new ornament for my tree from Kellie, celebrating besties memories made! And a copy of my cousin Sylva’s book, along with a book my dad gave her that she passed on to me.

You gals made my spirits brighter, and my heart feel special. Thank you! ❤️
