Today was a tough day.
.
We're extremely grateful and thankful to the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District and to our good friends, the Rybka Family, for raising money and planting and dedicating a tree to my mom today at Bradley Park in Bay Village.
.
That park already meant a lot to my family and me, especially, with how much time I've spent there over the years and we were able to pick a tree in a spot where I have many good memories.
.
Having a place in Bay where we can go visit is awesome and was a much needed step for us to take.
.
Nothing will be the same again and this year has been a major test on us all and I really can't put into words what this tree means to us.
.
Thank you to everyone involved and in our lives. We love you all and the next time your near Bradley Park, stop by and say hi to mom.

Devastating, heartbreaking and completely unreal are the only words that come to mind. The amount of love and support that myself and my family have felt at this time is unparalleled. We are truly overwhelmed by how supportive everyone has been and all the people that have reached out. While we might not respond quickly or at all, please know we are reading the stories and looking at the pictures and we would love to continue to receive them. Lucky for me I started dating Derek in high school and got to spend a lot of time with Janet over the past 16 years, but simply not enough. She was always a cheerleader for Derek and I and I know she was so proud of the family and life we built, she may not have said it but without that support and the past seven years of her "taking care of her babies" many of the opportunities we have had would have never been possible. I will forever be her debt for giving me and her wondeful son and in turn her perfect grandchildren that she cared for nearly every week of the past seven years. Her love for her family was so unconditional, so evident and so genuine, the same words have been used to describe all the love we have received. We are heartbroken, the boys are heartbroken, but we feel so fiercely loved and so genuinely lucky to have all of you in our lives. Hug your people and tell them you love them. Many of you have asked about arrangements, I have it posted below. Information on reception will follow. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all.
