12 weeks ago on May 7th, I got to cross off my bucket list fostering a pregnant dog rescued from a puppy mill and helping her give birth to six puppies through Paws of War’s foster program. It was an incredible honor to work with two of my very experienced rescue colleagues, Niki and Kelly via FaceTime during the births. Together, we saved the fifth Puppy, Mallomar, who was born lifeless by performing three life-saving techniques which enabled him to finally take his first breath. I immediately got in the car to take him to West Hills and asked my husband Bruce to watch the puppies. The x-ray taken of Cookie the mom showed five puppies, but to our surprise, while I was at the vet, the sixth surprise puppy was born with my husband Bruce as the midwife. Oreo was that surprise ! Fostering for Paws of War was such a positive experience with tremendous veterinary and supply support. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in fostering. Pictured below is 12 weeks ago on their birth day and recent pictures from all their adopters. Cookie and all six puppies are with fantastic families living the life that every dog should live. Cookie will never have another puppy again as she will be spayed, and neither will any of the puppies as they already have their spay/neuter appointments already scheduled and paid for by Paw Of War. If anyone is interested in fostering for Paws of War, please reach out to me. #helpingbothendsoftheleash #pawsofwar #adoptdontshop#rescuecatsofinstagram

We could use some positive thoughts and prayers. We got a call at 8:30 tonight that a pup was in trouble and the owners couldn’t afford to take it to the vet. So I jumped in my car after packing my kit. We are not sure if this guy has been poisoned due to a domestic violence situation or what. So far his parvo test is negative. IV fluids, anti nausea meds and antibiotics have been started. We will see what the blood work shows. If you would like to help with this babies care we have Venmo & Paypal at funnyfarmrescueranch@gmail.com or donations can be mailed to PO Box 74 Pinson, TN 38366
