Rub a dub dub 🛁🫧💗

Betty is happily bathed, pampered and now living her very best life as a little rolling dinosaur 🦖🤣💗

She was actually one of the first pugs who needed the FULL bathtub rather than our usual sink 🤪🛁😂 She’s a substantial little lady!!

But she was SO good, so brave and she definitely is the BEST girl 💗💗💗

We also used one of our absolute favourite products from WildWash — their Mud Mask 🫧💗 It soothes the pores, smells absolutely divine and we ADORE it. Betty had the full spa treatment today and quite frankly she deserved every second of it 🥰

Having a huge Frenchie is always a bonus when a bigger pug arrives 🤪 so we must thank Georgie for the hand-me-down dinosaur drying robe from our amazing friends at Barker & Brown 🦖🐾

Although looking at Betty and the amount of rolling and shenanigans going on… she may even need ANOTHER bath before she leaves tomorrow 😂🛁

Seeing her this happy is my happy place 😆❤️

After all the stress, struggle, frustration and sheer amount of time it took to finally get her OUT of China 🇨🇳 and safely here 🇬🇧… moments like this are everything.

Free. Safe. Loved. And apparently now a dinosaur 🦖😂❤️

Betty, you are bloody amazing xxx

And I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to share her meeting her forever Mum tomorrow 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

🚨 TODAY WE HAVE TWO URGENT APPEALS 🚨❤️‍🩹

We have urgent vet payments to make 😭 and our second appeal today is for our absolutely adorable Paddington 🐾💙

His rescue footage is heartbreaking to watch 💔 He looked so broken, so frightened and so poorly. But piece by piece, Rescue Pugs with Lily has painstakingly been putting this gorgeous boy back together again. ❤️‍🩹

And I can honestly say he not only looks like he’s feeling SO much better… he looks happier too. 🥹❤️

This little video may not look like much, but Paddington’s rehabilitation has been INTENSE. Seeing that little bottom wiggle, watching him potter around and actually seeing some happiness appearing in this once completely broken boy is enough to make me happy! 🥹🫶🏻💙

I personally CANNOT WAIT to hold this giant boy 😂🤪 Well… giant compared to my pugs!

We normally rescue the puggy mixes, but I simply couldn’t leave Paddington to spend his days in a crowded shelter, miserable, with holes in his feet and desperately needing help. He deserved more!!!! So we said YES. 🫶🏻

Now I need you to do me a HUGE favour 🙏🏻 Because he isn’t a breed you normally see on our page, PLEASE SHARE PADDINGTON. Every share, every like and every single donation damn well counts in rescue! ❤️‍🩹🐾

And maybe someone watching has Pocket Bully experience and thinks this beautiful boy could eventually belong with them? 🏡💙 We would LOVE to start talking to the right family about adoption.

Adoption links are in our bio 💋❤️

Please share our beautiful Paddington far and wide today. 🐾💙🫶🏻 #paddingtonbear🐻 #pocketbullysofinstagram #pocketbully #savedfromslaughter #adoptdontshop

FOR EVERYONE WE MEET AT ALL ABOUT DOGS NORFOLK THIS BANK HOLIDAY… HERE ARE A FEW FACTS ABOUT WHAT WE DO 🫶🏻

We rescue dogs from the China meat trade 🇨🇳Predominantly from slaughter trucks, but also from butchers, markets & shelters. They come from some of the cruellest situations imaginable, which is why we remain completely dedicated to China.

We have activists & rescuers dotted across China helping us on the ground. We pay for their support alongside veterinary treatment, transport, food, boarding, paperwork and ultimately getting our dogs safely to the UK.

We are COMPLETELY NON-PROFIT 💗 Every adoption fee, donation, auction item & fundraiser goes straight back into the China dogs, allowing us to keep rotating more dogs out to freedom. Without our incredible fundraising team & supporters, 165 dogs would not already be safely in the UK.

I WISH it was as easy as dogs simply being surrendered or exchanged through somewhere like Pets4Homes, but China rescue couldn’t be further from that. It is stressful, heartbreaking & full of curveballs. Situations change incredibly quickly, but once we commit to a dog, we fight like MAD for that dog.

It really is one dog at a time because funds dictate how quickly we can move them. If we could get them all out tomorrow, believe us WE WOULD.

Our dream is to grow and help more and more dogs, and becoming a REGISTERED CHARITY is absolutely in our pipeline. It will open more doors and ultimately allow us to rescue even more poor souls who desperately need us.

In this reel you’ll see a mixture of our beautiful China dogs. Some are now living their BEST lives in forever homes here in the UK while others are still waiting in China for that same freedom. Every face has a story, every one has been saved and every single one matters.

This rescue isn’t easy. There are huge costs, endless logistics, sleepless nights, tears & plenty of worry but 165 dogs are already here because WE KEPT GOING.

And for those still waiting in China, we will keep fighting.
If you’d like to help us keep going, every donation genuinely makes a difference

💜🌸🐾 DID YOU KNOW WE ALSO HAVE A DEDICATED FUNDRAISING PAGE ON FACEBOOK? 🐾🌸💜 🔗 link in bio & story of this reel 🫶🏻

And if you haven’t joined us yet… you really are missing out! 👀💖. You can also see in the footage some of the dogs we desperately want to fully commit too xx

Our wonderful fundraising team work incredibly hard running raffles, auctions and giveaways, with an amazing selection of prizes — and the very best part is that every penny raised helps our dogs. 🫶🏻🐾

The funds raised, alongside our adoption fees and donations, help build those all-important flight pots ✈️ to bring our China dogs safely to the UK and onwards to their forever homes once their perfect families have been chosen. 🇨🇳➡️🇬🇧🏡💕

And just LOOK at some of the fabulous prizes we’ve had donated with kindness and love 💖

Some of these raffles are still running, but this is only a tiny glimpse of what you’ll find on the fundraising page. There is an ever-changing array of gorgeous gifts, beauty products, puggy goodies, treats for humans, treats for dogs and something for almost everyone! 🎁🐶💖

So whether you’re bidding on an auction or spending a couple of pounds on a raffle ticket, you’re not simply trying to win something lovely…

You’re helping a dog in China who is still waiting for their chance. 💔🐾

That is what makes every £2 ticket, every bid and every donated auction item so important.

Please come and join our fundraising page, have a little browse and maybe treat yourself while helping us build the next flight pot. ✈️💜

And a HUGE thank you to everyone who donates prizes and to our fabulous fundraising ladies who keep it all going behind the scenes. We couldn’t do this without you. 🫶🏻🌸

If raffles and bidding aren’t your thing but you’d still like to help, you can donate directly:

❤️‍🩹 Mending broken hearts… but we will be back soon. 🫶🏻🌈🐾💕🌸 thank you for all your kindness & messages of support. Overwhelmed by your love

Everything in China continues quietly behind the scenes. Our precious dogs are getting there, and we now have three of our babies preparing to fly home this September. ✈️🇬🇧🐾

Please keep watching, sharing and supporting us. We still need you, even while things are a little quieter. ❤️

Right now, everywhere I look, I see Summer Mavis. 🌈💔 I see her beautiful little face and my heart breaks all over again.

So for now, I just need a little time to mend a heart that feels very broken. She mattered enormously, and losing her has affected me more than I can put into words.

But the rescue hasn’t stopped. Her friends are still waiting for us in China, and we will keep going for them — and for her. 🌈🐾

Thank you for staying beside us. 🫶🏻

💔 The Squidges & Summer Mavis. 🐾❤️

Sometimes rescue feels impossibly heavy.

Little Jesse and Norah – our precious Squidges – are now being treated for painful eye infections, another heartbreaking consequence of the neglect they have endured. No dog should have to suffer like this. Their little eyes should only ever have known love, not pain. 😭❤️

And then there’s our beautiful Summer Mavis…

A survivor in every sense of the word. She survived the meat truck, she survived years of neglect, she survived surgery… and now she’s still fighting every single day to heal. Her tiny body is exhausted, but her spirit refuses to give up.

These are the moments that remind us why we never stop. Behind every rescue photo is a dog that has known unimaginable suffering. Behind every recovery is months of veterinary care, medication, love, tears and hope.

Please keep all three of these beautiful souls in your hearts. They need us now more than ever.

If you can spare even £2, it genuinely could help us continue their treatment. If you can’t donate, sharing their story could help us reach someone who can.

Thank you for standing beside us and believing that every life matters. Together, we are giving them the future they were always worthy of. ❤️🐾

Please Give This Friday - we need you

We have now grown to over 7,000 followers which is truly incredible. Every single one of you has become part of our rescue family. Whether you donate, share our posts, leave a kind comment or simply follow our journey, you are helping to give hope to dogs who otherwise wouldn’t have one.

I’m so relieved to tell you that our beautiful Summer is safely back at the shelter following her surgery earlier this week.

She underwent a hernia repair & spleen biopsy and has come through her operation like the little fighter she truly is. Now she needs time, good nutrition, medication & lots of love to continue her recovery.

The reality is that the shelter is incredibly overcrowded following the huge number of recent rescues. Every kennel is full, every volunteer is stretched & every penny is carefully spent on saving lives. Because Summer is still so painfully thin & vulnerable after everything she has endured, we are now considering moving her into a quieter, more sterile boarding environment where she can recover safely.

It breaks my heart to see her little body in this condition. She has clearly lived a life without love, proper food or even the most basic care. She has simply been neglected for far too long.

But that story changes now because although fragile our golden girl is free & ready to begin healing ❤️‍🩹 for her next phase of her journey with our Rescue.

When you donate to Rescue Pugs with Lily, you can be reassured that your donation goes directly towards the dogs. We have no paid staff, no salaries and no unnecessary overheads. Every pound helps provide veterinary care, medication, food, boarding & everything these precious souls need to begin their new lives.

If you are able, please consider making a donation today to help Summer continue her recovery & to support her second chance.

⚠️ Content Warning ⚠️

Some of the images and footage in this post are graphic and may be distressing to some viewers. Please only continue if you feel able to. We never share these scenes to shock, but to give a voice to dogs whose suffering would otherwise remain unseen. ❤️‍🩹

❤️ £2 Giving Tuesday ❤️

Today, we continue to give HOPE to the voiceless dogs who have nobody else.

These dogs endure unimaginable cruelty every single day simply because they were born in China.

It doesn’t matter what breed they are, what size they are, how old they are, whether they’re pedigree or mixed breed, healthy or disabled. Every single life matters. Every dog deserves kindness, compassion and the chance to know love instead of cruelty.

Today is for all the dogs we love. ❤️

The ones who already have a place in our hearts but haven’t yet had the chance to experience unconditional love, safety and the forever homes they deserve. 💔

Every single day we do everything we can to help as many as possible, but we will always wish we could save more. Every rescue reminds us of those still waiting… watching… hoping that one day it will be their turn.

If every follower could donate just £2, or simply share this post, together we really can change lives. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, helps keep hope alive. 🫶🏻

Your donations provide the essentials while these precious souls wait for freedom—soft blankets, nourishing food, veterinary treatment, toys and safer shelter facilities. Most importantly, they help us continue working towards the day we can bring them to safety.

Every pound also gives these dogs something they have so rarely known… hope. ❤️

We promise we will never stop fighting for them

To our precious dogs still waiting…

Please know that you are loved, even though we cannot hold you in our arms just yet. We haven’t forgotten you, we never will, and we will keep fighting until as many of you as possible know what it feels like to be safe, cherished and finally home. #adoptdontshop #puglove #frenchbulld

Is there room at the inn for more innocent souls? 💔🐾

more precious lives who have known nothing but abandonment, neglect and unimaginable suffering. They did nothing to deserve the cruelty they’ve endured, yet here they are… waiting for someone to say, “We’ll help you.”

Can we be that someone? ❤️

My heart says they already have Rescue Pugs with Lily written all over them. But rescuing them isn’t just about saying yes—it means committing to their veterinary care, boarding, transport, and ultimately their freedom flight to the UK. We can only make that promise if we know we have your support behind us.

Today we’re asking you to help us show these beautiful but broken souls that they matter. Every single donation, no matter how small, brings them one step closer to safety, healing, and the forever lives they deserve. If you can’t donate, please share. Sometimes one share reaches the person who changes everything. 🫶🏻

It’s going to be another enormous mission… but every dog we’ve ever saved began with one decision, one act of kindness, and people like you believing they were worth fighting for.

Let’s do it again. ❤️

It takes a small village to rescue dogs in China, but today I can finally announce 📣 that another little girl is on her way to safety, love & a brighter future.

Meet Norah Nibbler

This beautiful girl desperately needed our help. Her nickname speaks for itself because, despite being confined to a tiny cage filled with faeces, she still appears to have a spark about her and simply wants to be free.

It is clear that Norah has recently had a litter of puppies. Sadly, she is yet another breeding dog who appears to have been discarded once she was no longer considered useful. She ended up in an overcrowded shelter, facing an uncertain future. Thankfully, our activists were able to intervene quickly & secure her safety before her situation became even worse.

Norah has been living in heartbreaking conditions & surrounded by waste & gravel No dog should ever have to endure such neglect - these shelters leave most dogs starving to death 💔

What weighs heavily in my heart is wondering what happened to her puppies. Are they even still alive? The reality is that we may never know & that is incredibly difficult to accept because we can’t reach them all.

As soon as Norah reaches our vet team, I will share a further update & let you know more about her condition & any care she may need moving forward. What we do know is that we will need vital funds for her veterinary care, boarding & journey to freedom, so this £2 Tuesday is all about little Norah.

No donation is ever too small & every pound helps us continue saving dogs just like her.

PayPal (Friends & Family):
rescuepugswithlily@gmail.com

please join us in welcoming this precious girl to safety. She is loved, protected & her future starts today. Please note that we are not currently taking applications or sharing further information about Norah. She has only just been rescued & at this stage we have no vet assessments or health needs available. Until she reaches our veterinary team she remains an unknown quantity & her welfare must come first. #dogrescue #rescuedog #tuesday #appeal #mixedbreedsofinstagram
