Another sighting of Mangoes! This one at a library in Gastonia, NC. It’s amazing that our book has reached places we’ve never been (at least for Kate, Nate has visited most of the US). Thanks @kellydhouse #kidlit #library #northcarolina

I made a sale on my “goosebumps” meets “the fault in our stars” kids book. it is available in e-book. Wherever books are sold and available in paperback through Ingram Spark. Also going to be available in paperback from Amazon and Barnes & Noble on the 27th and I’m tagging all the literary agents who rejected it (at least the ones I can find on Instagram) as it sells #strengthofthevampire #strengthofthevampirebook #vampire #cozyvampiredetective

I somehow taught a class on social media and barely got any pictures but that’s because I was having the BEST TIME and meeting the most amazing people at @dfwcon this year!! Until next time! 🫶🏻✨

Another #dfwcon in the books!!!
This one was particularly special because I got to meet my agent @kellydhouse and hang out with so many friends, sign copies of WHEN DEALING WITH DRAGONS and show off the new cover of BARGAINING WITH BEASTS!!!

Being part of the committee that helps put DFWCON on is so special and amazing even when it’s so much work! I’m just so happy that so many writers are learning and feeling inspired and reaching for their dreams!

#booksbooksbooks #newwriters What a blast; my first writer’s conference! And it happened to be DFWCon’s 50th anniversary! Met some awesome people and learned cool new things! One thing I learned to is to be sure to post more about my journey than I have been lately. Life’s been busy. 😓Better start picking up my Apple Pencil! #dfwcon #authorcommunity #kellydyksterhouse

I’ll also be on some panels, like the one shown here where I’ll be with my literary agent @kellydhouse, who I’ll be meeting for the first time! I’ll also be in other read and critique classes, along with teaching the precon pitch perfect class with @katiebernet!!!

Join literary agent Kelly Dyksterhouse of The Tobias Agency for “Pitch Perfect,” a webinar designed to help writers strengthen their pitches and prepare their work for submission.

Kelly will share insight into what makes a pitch stand out, how to present your manuscript clearly and professionally, and what agents are looking for when they review submissions.

The webinar will take place on Tuesday, August 25 at 6:30 p.m. Registration is $15 for SCBWI members and $25 for those who are not yet members, and the video recording will be available for 30 days after the event.

As a special opportunity, registrants will be able to submit to Kelly after the webinar. Kelly will also provide a limited number of written manuscript critiques in advance of the event, available on a first-come, first-served basis. We will also have 10-minute Zoom consultations to get feedback on your pitch and project from other literary professionals in the week following the webinar.

Registration can be found at the links in our bio💙
