So today while cleaning out our magazine rack, I flipped through a magazine and found a small stack of bills and this card. I am so sad that I didn’t find it at Christmas but it has made my day today and has made my Christmas season actually! (Even though the season is over.) Thank you so much @kellythesunshinecrafter for being such a thoughtful friend and remembering me. You are absolutely the BEST!!! This card is beautiful and I promise I will be using the dies throughout the year to make cards for next Christmas! And btw, this card is so beautiful and so me! Im so sorry if you thought it wasn’t appreciated because it most definitely is!!!! Love you.

This is what I made as a birthday card for someone who's birthday is in October and he loves all things zombie!!!!

The die is Tim Holtz zombie 660961. I used a combination of sprays to get this effect: mica stain sprays tree lot, holly branch and peppermint stick - with a bit of black soot layered in.

The background is a combination of hero arts wood grain background die cut into an oval, and some scrap paper. The orange scrap paper wasn't enough of a pattern so I used Concord and 9th's retro petals turnabout stencil (just the one pattern) and shifting it using red royal hero arts ink and aged mahogany distressed ink.

I didn't have the sentiment dies so I had to wing it by printing some out and blending some ink on the edges. Warning: this does alter the printed ink a little! Gives it faded look.

Even though I didn't use her exact idea, I was inspired by AmyR's zombie card and Kelly the sunshine crafter's encouragement.
