I had such a wonderful birthday!!!!!!!
.
It was wonderful bc I have so many wonderful friends🩷🩷🩷 on the day of my birthday, we went and Painted pottery together and got hotpot ☺️ during the weekend, we rallied for butch garden and danced till close! I saw so many wonderful friends there and was told I needed a sugar cookie bc I looked like them lmao. And the next day we had a pool party!! Claire on the grill, Jabari dj'd, my 20 year old alligator inflatable made an appearance, hannah made her dank banana pudding and let us use her pool😭
.
Ps EVEN BETTER: The pink sparkly dress I'm wearing, the earrings, and the heels I all found thrifting or bought second hand!! Such luck!!
.
There are so many good pictures from this week I wish I could share them all!

Three years or so ago I bought a 40 yr old video game console for a woman I met in a video game who, at the time, I didn't fully believe I'd ever actually meet in person. But here we are, starting 2024 off almost on the dot on the 3 year anniversary when I had an all-nighter convo with Kelly that ended with me realizing there's no going back from this whole Octavia thing.

Since then I've had the best and worst moments of my life, through it all planning and fantasizing about bringing this Vectrex over to Baltimore. And it still feels unreal, about 24 hours after the fact. If you're an Ocky head, you know like half my posts talk about how sad I was before I transitioned. I'd like to focus on the hope this vector based system gave me though, that I actually -could- make this trip. Some days this little dinky ass thing was an actual lifeline for me.

And I'm so happy I made the financially unwise decision to get this, cause I don't think I ever could've started 2024 off better than playing the Vectrex in MSP, bringing it on a plane across the country, and bringing it to its new home.

Also she gave me a sealed copy of Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 on 360 like FUCKIN WHAT

i sometimes tell people that, for safety, i only go to one place: the arcade.
but i actually go two places. two arcades because this one has Pop'n Music me winking in a wheelchair at a Pop'n Music arcade cabinet
