A love letter to NY

There’s something magical about the energy in ny. People experiencing the US for the first time, exchanging minimal english but connecting on the dance floor through a love of shared music.
The diversity of backgrounds, culture, paths, and opportunities. Everyone chasing a dream. Side hustles, passion projects, creative pursuits. You can’t help but get on board with the energy in NY.

Thank you for inspiring me every time ❤️‍🔥

It took me 12 days to read about the tarantula

When I first got this deck by @kim_krans I remember seeing the tarantula and feeling sorry for whoever would receive that card in a reading

When I pulled my past, present, and future cards and saw the tarantula for my future, I got scared

Scared I had gone too far
Scared I was doing too much
Scared of what the card would tell me

It was also 9/11

I paused and put the cards away

They say hesitation and doubt always creep in right when you’re on the edge of breakthrough. That’s when you should know to keep pushing. That there’s greatness waiting for you on the other side

(Present - Wolf)

When I did this reading, I had full faith in my path unfolding. A sense of being on the precipice of greatness, a feeling I’ve never quite experienced before.

But I was doing too much, giving too much of myself away to help others. So many of the loved ones around me were experiencing catastrophic life events, and as it’s always been in my nature, I was putting my friends first and taking care of their needs before my own.
Wolf energy.

I needed to turn inward and prioritize helping myself again. Becoming the healthiest, best version of myself will allow me to meet my highest timeline. And the habits I choose daily will influence its arrival

(Past - Nightingale)

After 5 years working in corporate, I was starting to get restless. Stagnant. Depressed. Unable to move forward

I was lacking a creative outlet. A piece of wisdom @kellymfkush tried to convey to me a year ago when I wasn’t ready to hear it.

Creativity, and the act of creation, rather than pure consumption - really can be a cure for depression. And a key for the neurodivergent minds like my own

Although I have no idea where I’m going with it, having a platform to better express my creative pursuits is giving me life again

(Future - Tarantula)

When I pulled the tarantula I got scared. I took a step back and began facing doubt again. In myself, in what’s to come

Now on 9/23, I return to my reading

The tarantula highlighted my internal battles with past versions of myself. The comforts of the known vs. the discomfort of the unknown.. the liminal spac

Another year at one of the most magical and special spots 🥰⚡️🌲🪩🌞🌈💫💞

The Forest gives everyone takeaways, & my theme of this year was surprises 🫨had many memorable moments of surprises from helping friends surprise others at the fest with their presence, sets from artists not on the lineup, trinket trades and fairy doors, wandering through the forest and posting up at a stage based on what you heard, & artists switching up their sound with unexpected drops. Swipe for some of my favorites!!! 🥹🫶
