Fool4u (feat. Kelly Moonstone)
Announcing the first single off Kara-Do’s upcoming release Symptoms

Kara-Do is the name under which Devin Daniels produces hip-hop and electronic music. Fool4u, the lead single off of Kara-Do’s “Symptoms” features vocals by Kelly Moonstone. She turns this off-kilter dance track into a bittersweet love song. According to Devin, “...it’s really funny that the 1st single is the only one in 7/4. It’s a good representation of the album, it’s got a little bit of everything.”

Originally, symptoms started out as a memoir chronicling Devin Daniels’ mental health journey by way of the beat tape. “I made these beats in my worst mental health state of all time, like 2018 to 2023. In 2017, I had a experience in Boston and it gave me a schizoaffective reaction. I’m schizophrenic now. I’ve been hearing voices for the past almost 10 years. A terrible time, just really negative. Making beats is the kind of stuff that would just like cheer me up, you know, it would just make me forget about all that stuff.” Devin has also been consistently working in the Los Angeles music scene as a bandleader and session musician, graduating from the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance at UCLA, and going on to play in bands with the likes of Herbie Hancock, Joel Ross, Gerald Clayton, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson and more.

finally…….! 🏊🏾‍♂️

My 3rd Album,

“Rite of Passage” releases everywhere Friday, July 24th, 2026.

Featuring music dating back to 2023, the album sits between the old versions of myself I’ve walked away from, and the new version I’ve committed to walking into. I’ve been in the this “middle” point in my life in so my areas. The middle feels awkward. Far from where you’ve come but a long ways from where you’re going.

In that space It’s felt like I’ve had to fight against the world just to keep my identity as both an artist and a creative fully intact. There comes a point where you stop waiting for the world to become gentler and instead, you decide to become stronger. You can spend your life allowing the world to shape you, or you can begin shaping your place within it.

Through the tension of my early twenties, breaking away from old habits, settling into adulthood, and being at what feels like a midpoint, this album is my initiation to the other side of the fence. Both in experience and in craft.

As our protagonist approaches the 8-year anniversary of his first EP “any minute” this week, we wanted to resurface the unique and creative art pieces designed by @mystudio13 that helped tell the epic New York story.

“Day Drinking” questions our reliance on alcohol as an escape from our problems, addressing the harsh yet consistent truth that it inevitably creates more problems than it solves. Much love to anyone on their respective path.
