Obet & Del’s Coffee @obetanddels Location: Los Angeles, CA 🇺🇸 Hours: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM Daily Retro and bright cafe and community space serving coffee with a twist from the owner’s origins (Black & Filipino). I love the retro look and colors of the interior. It’s a super cozy space to socialize and work in! Drink tried: Iced Thai Tea I asked for less sweet but I should have left it at regular 😭 it was a bit watery, I wish the tea flavor was stronger. Food tried: Miso Kouign-Amann This was so. good. Sweet and salty, with a delicious crust oh my goodness. Must try! Amenities: Tables, some outlets, wifi, I think they have a bathroom(?) WTWFPW? 👩🏻‍💻 I don’t remember 😭 #lacoffee #lacoffeeshops #lacafe #cafehop #cafehopping #cafehopper #coffeeshopcorners #coffeeshopinteriors #coffeeshopdesign #thaitea #thaitealovers #kouignamann #lacoffeeshop

Sea Salt Cream Cold Brew 🌊💙 바다 소금 크림 콜드 브루 예쁘지 않나요? 🥺 This was inspired by a comment @kelschini made about how she loved @85cbakerycafe’s sea salt coffee (especially on Monday BOGO 😉). I love sweet and salty flavors so I knew I had to make it at home! I added a pinch of sea salt to my cream, whipped it until a yogurt drink consistency, and topped my cold brew with it! I also added some simple syrup to sweeten the coffee (you could also add a little sugar to the cream if you want). And voila! You have a creamy, sweet and salty, and delicious coffee that is SO easy to make. You could use your favorite espresso, instant coffee, cream-alternative, etc. to make your perfect cup. Enjoy! ♥ . . Look at that 🌀SWIRL🌀! . .

How do you call yourself a ramen-lover if you never try @ichiran_ny ? 🍜 𝗜𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 🍜 Now available to purchase on @chowbus_sea app! Reposted from @kelschini ••• Thank you @chowbus_sea for sending me this @ichiran_ny take-home ramen kit for review. I’ve only had Ichiran once in NYC but it was some of the best ramen I’ve had. This take-home kit, although not 100% the same, definitely resembles the flavor and texture of what you get at the restaurant. The broth is super rich and savory (as good tonkotsu broth should be) and the noodles are perfectly al dente and not too soft like many other at-home ramen I’ve tried. For the amount of effort (it literally takes 5 minutes to make) and the end result, I would rate this kit a 9/10. Of course, to make the ramen a bit more substantial, I had to add my own flare to it. So I made some braised shiitake mushrooms and fried tofu, along with some ajitsuke tamago (ramen egg). If you have not tried @chowbus_official yet, use my code 0QNMFZRX to get $5 off your first order! Ingredients 6oz fried tofu 8oz dried shiitake mushrooms, rehydrated with warm water 1 small onion, quartered 3 tbsps soy sauce 1 tbsp mirin 1 tbsp sake 2 c water 4 eggs How to make 1. Add all ingredients except for the eggs into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. 2. Let simmer gently for 1hr to 3 hrs, the longer the better but 1hr is minimum. 3. Prepare eggs by soft boiling them (I messed up here and overcooked my eggs by a little, but 6min boiling + immediate ice bath should be a good guideline). Peel the eggs and set aside. 4. Once the braised tofu and mushrooms are done and completely cool, pour the braising liquid into a ziplock bag. 5. Add the eggs into the ziplock bag along with 2 tbsps soy sauce, 1 tbsp mirin, 1 tbsp sake, and as much water as needed to submerge the eggs (around 1/2 c usually) 6. The eggs will be ready in 24 hours but I like them the best after 48 hours, and the tofu and mushrooms are ready overnight after chilling. Use as a side dish or as ramen toppings, enjoy! 📸: my ultra talented roomie @w_lt96 ❤️
