Oh you wanna talk about 2016?? Take me back to the Pokémon Go of it all. It was one of those best/worst years of my life. - photographed my first music festival, featuring Andy Grammar, Pentatonix, Ben Rector, Lukas Graham, and others. - visited the PNW for the first time, with team PHOCO. And camped in Yellowstone, The Grand Tetons, RMNP, Lake Powell, and Buena Vista with my best friends. - did my first work for big brands, such as New Belgium Brewing and Lululemon. I won a Chaco photo contest and received a pair of Chacos. And was sent my first free product from a brand to take photos of as their brand ambassador. It was a hammock. - my first time photographing an “IG model” wow. And went to two “Instameets” - started growing my hair out. I wish someone would’ve stopped me… - my most played song was Kids by OneRepublic. Please appreciate with me how divinely convenient that is for this trend. - lastly, I was scared of who I truly was and fully hated myself for it. I’m lucky I’m on the other side of that now. Check in on your always-smiling friends.

The 2024 Highs and Lows trend really caused me to reflect on what I'd consider a pretty difficult year, but the more I thought about what I remember, the more I realized there was so much beauty. I invested substantial energy in reconnecting with old friends and deepening the relationships in my life and the growth and healing was unmatched. So with that, cheers to more peace, friendship, and laughter in 2025. Highs: - @apauling_climber did so many pottery art fairs and custom pieces. We launched his website and Facebook/Instagram shops. His pottery reconnected me with ghosts of the past in the most important ways from climbing to childhood friends. His talent has a way of bringing people together and is one of the things I value most in him. - we didn't do much skiing this year, only one time at Keystone but were joined not only by our long distance Texan friend, but by a coworker who has grown into a such a meaningful mentor and friend in my life. I think she's singlehandedly teaching me patience haha - in April we visited Panama and Peru to celebrate Paul's 30th birthday. Not only was that trip once in a lifetime, but it marked the completion of my lifelong goal of 30 countries before 30. I'm so appreciative that I've shared 13 of those years and more than 13 of those countries with @apauling_climber - HUGE shout-out to @thegoods94 and @kelseyknown for surprise flying to Peru to celebrate Paul despite his self-imposed food poisoning. Your friendship has been constant and much needed in not only Paul's life but my own and I can't say thank you enough for that gift - Met @becausecarter on our trek to Macchu Picchu which was incredibly serendipitous and we're now headed to Nepal together in April. Huge highlight to find not only a trekking partner but fun-loving friend - after returning from Peru I went on a little girls weekend with my highschool besties. Reconnecting with the 3 other musketeers has just been chefs kiss. Words can't describe the full-circle healing. Idk if any of my other friends would've bet me to help birth a lamb and be so totally bamboozled when I LOVED IT. Top 3 experiences in 2024 Continued in comments 👇

I’ve been wanting a mast cell tattoo ever since I got my MCAS diagnosis, but had a really hard time finding an artist that can truly capture it so I had given up. Fast forward to this summer, I started a half sleeve with @kelseyknown and realized her style is PERFECT for this! I literally cannot imagine another artist doing this justice, and I literally cannot be happier! This specifically is a degranulating mast cell, which basically means it is actively attacking whatever is around it. Swipe for the inspo! [#accessibility ID: image 1: a picture of a tattoo with black outline and watercolor strokes of a mast cell (an elogated oval with lots of holes in it and squiggly lines sticking out).
