사이공 뜬 전자음악 Ken Rise @ken__rise 켄라이즈(Ken rise) 사이공을 기반으로 활동중인 키미(kỳ mỹ)와 쿠인(Quỳnh, DJ BA2M)이 창립한 켄코어(Ken core)에서 파생된 프로젝트이자 크루이다. 키미(kỳ mỹ)와 쿠인(Quỳnh, DJ BA2M)이 중심이 되어 크루가 흘러가고 있지만 Mike, Captain Hook 등 사이공을 기반으로 하는 DJ들이 켄코어(Ken core) 및 켄라이즈(Ken rise)에 함께 해주고 있다. 또한 자체 음악 행사 진행과 같은 다양한 활동을 하고 있어 사이공 및 베트남 내에서 서서히 인지도와 명세가 올라가고 있는 것으로 추측된다. 쿠인 (Quỳnh, DJ B^2M) 모델 겸 DJ로 활동중이다. DJ로써보다 모델로써의 인지도가 더 높은 편이며 2024년엔 DAZED ASIA 100에 이름을 올린 적 있다. 그 해 DJ 데뷔도 함께 하게 되었으며 켄라이즈(Ken rise)에서의 믹스와는 다르게 실제 베뉴와 클럽에서는 묵직한 테크노를 더 선호하는 경향을 보인다. 키미(Kỳ mỹ) 2023년 정식으로 활동을 시작하였으며 초반에서부터 언더그라운드 씬의 주목을 받은 것으로 보인다. 켄라이즈(ken rise),켄코어(ken core) 이외에도 Bung Lon이라는 퀴어파티의 레지던스로 활동중이며 대부분의 음악스타일은 주로 Bpm이 빠른 스타일의 장르를 선호하는 것으로 보인다. 우리의 생각보다 더 동남아 국가에서의 전자음악씬이 넓고 또 넓어지고 있는 것 같다. 현재의 한국은 어디쯤 와 있을까? KPOP 중심의 문화에서 서서히 변화의 바람이 불고있지만 아직은 우리가 갈 길이 멀다. 하지만 앞으로 켄라이즈(Ken rise)의 이들처럼 좋아하는 음악을 마음껏 표출할 수 있는 개성과 에너지를 가진 사람들이 더 많아진다면 그 날이 조금 더 빨리 찾아오지 않을까 싶다. 나는 더 많은 이들에게 더 다채로운 음악이 닿는 그 순간까지 디깅과 글을 멈추지 않겠습니다. 그럼 오늘도, 건강하시고 사랑하세요. 음악과 함께. 끝. |Aboutz

LUCKYHOUSECAT is a producer and DJ moving between Los Angeles and Saigon. His sound isn’t tied to one genre but stays rooted in dance culture, where rhythm, energy, and emotion come first. @metro.mp3 Resident DJ SOFTICE is a DJ and Producer from Germany, with releases in Germany and Vietnam. His sound usually moves between progressive trance and house but are also curated rather than fixed to one genre.
