Jose's 2026 Mobility Impaired Pronghorn Hunt.

Over the years my friendship with Jose has grown. This hunt felt so good after the hard work the team put in to see " Top " successful. Finally as a team we witnessed Jose harvesting the animal he had been looking for. Our lead, Zeb, had hunted this area during the archery hunt and had turned this specific buck up as a "shooter". Just moments before, we had stocked a buck coming right at us. Jose set up next to me, his M.I. assistant. The buck closed the distance to 234 yards. Jose missed, unfortunately (or fortunately). I could see the shot hit the dirt above the quarry through the backup firearm scope. It was a clean miss. Minutes later we were out of the truck with a much larger antelope running directly in front of our hunt team. Gary's placement of the vehicle allowed for Top and I to get setup as the larger buck, blind to the activities, pursued its lesser sub-adult male off the herd. Jose's first shot soft punched the primer. He ejected the round and slammed the bolt down just in time to place a fast paced round through the chest. The round did not expand and antelope bound forward with no signs of stopping. Through the scope I could see the animal stall as Jose's shot rang true followed by the sound of a whap. I followed up with a secondary
shot to his wounded quarry. Celebration rang through the air and there were hugs all around. Top deserved this harvest and it was a blessing for all of us to be by his side.

Thank you for your service.
Thank you to the team for such an incredible job well done.

During the turkey hunt with @impactoutdoors.nm this year I spent time talking to Top about this hunt and how I would come out and help him find the buck of his dreams. And well @dukeblaizze and I did just that ( even though we chased this buck for a majority of the archery season with no luck). I knew Jose could put the smack down on him! Long story short Big Buck Down!!!! #pronghorn #gameon #kuiu #suportourveterans🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
