POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
May is always a crazy month — and even more so when you have a graduating senior (more exciting posts about that coming soon!). But this feels especially fitting to share during a season when so many students are graduating from high school and college and stepping into their working lives.

Mine started as an educator.

Teaching was truly my passion. (Let’s be honest — I still love math. Give me a sharpened pencil and let’s goooo.) It’s what I always thought I would do with my life. I never saw myself as a “sales” person or a “business” person or anyone who could do anything besides teach math and encourage teenagers.

Fast forward to now: I’ve been on television, renovated what feels like a bazillion homes, chosen countless design details, raised some pretty amazing kids, and now I’m on the cover of Cherokee Producers magazine.

This magazine goes out to the top 300 agents in our county and features the top 50 agents overall. If you had told me when I graduated college that this would be my life, I would have laughed and never believed you. But here I am — in a new career and absolutely loving it.

What I realize now is that I was being equipped for this long before I even knew it. Every skill I’ve learned along the way gets poured into serving my clients — from design and construction to analysis, organization, and even counseling at times.

Seeing this magazine and reading an article that shares my story feels incredibly encouraging. And I hope anyone who reads it realizes this too: nothing in life is wasted. Every chapter matters, and life is so much richer when we live it as an adventure instead of limiting ourselves to just one version of the story.
